Sometimes I think to myself, ‘it’s time I start being healthier and eat less sugary food’, but then all these new dessert places pop up, and that plan flies out of the window faster than I can say affogato. Joining my ever-growing list of dessert places to try is Mylo’s, where you can get a delightful afternoon treat for both you and your dog at Gardens By The Bay.

Named after Churner-in-Chief Michael Wilson’s golden retriever, Mylo’s boasts of an al fresco terrace where both you and your fur babies can bask in the afternoon sun and dig into a selection of homemade pastries and desserts together.
Your pup won’t feel FOMO if you’re going to spend a day treating yourself, and that’s Mylo’s promise—think Bone Broth Popsicles (price TBA) and home-baked Dog Biscuits (price TBA). As part of their opening special, the first dog biscuit is on the house.

You can expect a wide range of sweet treats on their menu—opt for a Gelato Sandwich (S$8) served between grilled brioche, or indulge in a range of aromatic Affogato’s (S$10), where a scoop of vanilla and Himalayan pink salt gelato is drowned in an espresso shot and topped with honey, olive oil, and fennel pollen. It is then served with seasonal homemade fruit compote, promising a refreshing burst of sweetness that’ll chase any afternoon slumps away.
A healthier option would be an affogato consisting of creamy Greek yoghurt topped and their seasonal fruit compote, but if you’re a hardcore MILO fan, the MILO dinosaur is made of MILO gelato and sprinkled with MILO crumbs will be your top pick.

As much as I absolutely adore creamy gelato, pastries and baked goods will always hold a special place in my heart. Mylo’s Pastries will set you back S$6 a piece, and all visitors can take their pick from Pain Au Chocolat, Carrot Cake, Muffins, Banana Bread and more. They also have both sweet and savoury Tarts (S$11) such as Valhorna Chocolate, Lemon Meringue and Ham Quiches, perfect for when you’re feeling slightly peckish before dinnertime.
They also have a selection of Chai (S$5), where customers can pair their desserts with a steaming cup of Peppermint, English Breakfast, or Green Tea. If a boozy afternoon’s on the calendar, then opt for their Mythos Beer (S$8) or a glass of House Red or White Wine (S$16).
