Nasi Kerabu Moknab has officially ceased operations at its Pantai Dalam outlet after 2 years in business, marking the closure of what many regarded as one of the brand’s busiest locations.

The closure was announced without a stated reason, prompting conversations and speculation among customers online. At the time of writing, Nasi Kerabu Moknab has confirmed that it is exploring plans to open a new outlet in Kuala Lumpur.
Meanwhile, its existing outlets in Shah Alam and Bangi continue to operate as usual. No timeline has been announced for the potential new location.

Since its opening, the Pantai Dalam outlet has played a significant role in cementing Nasi Kerabu Moknab’s reputation among diners. The roadside stall, which sat along the Pantai Dalam stretch, became widely recognised for its consistently long queues and viral presence on social media.

Customers would queue, select their preferred lauk, and assemble their plates around the central offering of nasi kerabu. The variety of side dishes was a defining feature, ranging from grilled items to rich, spice-forward curries that reflected the brand’s Kelantanese influences.

Among the more popular offerings was the signature Lemak Bakar, prepared on-site and served fresh from the grill. The nasi kerabu itself, mixed with ulam and fish coconut sambal, delivered layered aromas and flavours that formed the backbone of each meal.
What ultimately set the Pantai Dalam outlet apart was its consistency and volume-driven appeal. The steady queues, particularly during peak hours, underscored its position as a dependable lunch and dinner option for nearby residents, office workers, and students alike.
With the closure of this outlet, Pantai Dalam loses a well-established food destination that had become part of the area’s daily rhythm. As Nasi Kerabu Moknab looks ahead to its next chapter, make sure to show support at their remaining outlets in Selangor!
