1. Pentos & Basil

Pentos & Basil brings the charm of a neighbourhood Italian restaurant to Sea Park, serving hearty pastas, creamy risottos, and handcrafted specialties in a classy yet welcoming space. Founded in 2021 in Bukit Jalil, it has earned a loyal following for its handmade sauces, comforting flavours, and polished hospitality.

We started with the Pentos Signature Salad (RM38), and honestly, it disappeared faster than expected. The roasted pumpkin added a nice sweetness, while the soft 63°C egg made everything feel a little more comforting. The Gambas (RM32) came out sizzling and smelled amazing straight away — garlicky, slightly spicy, and perfect for dipping the ciabatta into afterwards.

Ready for mains? We can’t recommend Classic Egg Yolk Carbonara (RM34) enough. Despite staying true to its Roman tradition, it still felt like familiar comfort food. Not overly creamy or jelak, just simple pasta coated in egg yolk, Parmesan, black pepper, and duck bacon done right.

Who doesn’t love risotto? We certainly do! Their Squid Ink and Seafood Risotto (RM39) is another must-try, topped with prawns and mussels, and finished with lemon oil.

For something more indulgent, Moroccan Braised Lamb Shank Tajine (RM78) features tender, spice-infused lamb served with pillowy handmade gnocchi — a taste of North African flavours. The lamb pulled apart easily with just a nudge of our fork, and the well-made gnocchi soaked up the sauce perfectly.

We washed it down with two of their extensive selection of drinks — Pentos Lemonade (RM16) and Pineapple Rambler (RM16). Pro tip: Weekday lunch sets are also worth a look, with Data Pranzo (RM59 for 2 pax) and Festa Pranzo (RM118 for 4 pax) — offering full-course meals with excellent value.

When only a satisfying plate of pasta or creamy risotto will do, Pentos & Basil is an easy choice. Its cosy atmosphere, generous portions, and refined flavours make it a must-visit spot for both casual meals and special occasions.

2. Hometown Hainan Coffee

Hometown Hainan Coffee has come a long way since its first outlet opened in Desa Petaling in 2008. What began as a family-run kopitiam has grown into a familiar name across the Klang Valley, known for serving authentic Hainanese recipes that have been passed down through generations.

The Sea Park outlet carries the same warm, easygoing charm, with both indoor and outdoor seating for everything from laid-back breakfasts to casual catch-ups. The menu is extensive, covering a wide range of Malaysian favourites, so there is something for nearly every craving.

Start with White Curry Mee Special, where springy noodles soak up a rich, flavourful broth, topped with prawns, tofu puffs, and a punchy sambal. Their Nasi Lemak with Fried Rempah Chicken Leg Quarter is another crowd-pleaser, featuring fragrant coconut rice, a classic old-school sambal, and juicy, well-marinated chicken with a crispy golden crust.

If you are in the mood for something heartier in the morning, Big Breakfast Platter comes loaded with toast, fluffy scrambled eggs, hash browns, hot dogs, and baked beans. For a local twist, Shrimp and Egg Sambal Fried Rice delivers smoky wok hei and a silky runny egg yolk, with just enough heat for local taste buds.

Those with a sweet tooth should not miss their Kaya and Peanut Butter French Toast. Thick slices of toast are filled with homemade kaya that is slow-cooked for over 8 hours with pandan leaves, pairing beautifully with peanut butter and a slab of butter on top. Not to forget their Green Tea Butter and Red Bean Croissant — offering a fun, earthy combination.

To wash it all down, Gula Melaka Hainan Iced Teh is sweet, creamy, and wonderfully refreshing on a hot day, while their Hot Latte is smooth and every bit as delightful as the one you would expect from a good cafe.

When you cannot decide what you are in the mood for, Hometown Hainan Coffee makes the choice easy. With its broad menu, consistent flavours, and cosy atmosphere, it is a dependable spot for breakfast, lunch, tea, and everything in between.

3. Boran

Boran channels the lively energy of Thailand’s Chonburi street food scene into a cosy Sea Park setting — serving punchy, comforting dishes that are hearty and wallet-friendly. The laid-back space keeps things casual and approachable, making it equally fitting for quick weekday lunches, relaxed dinners, or late-evening comfort food runs.

A classic on the menu is Thai Basil Minced Pork with Rice (RM10.90), featuring fragrant minced pork tossed with basil, topped with a golden sunny side up egg, and served with a side of chopped bird’s eye chillies.

Another traditional must-try is Tomyum Noodles (RM10.50 for regular, RM12.50 for large) — a bowl of aromatic broth layered with tangy, spicy flavours, loaded with fish cakes, fish balls, and soft-boiled eggs for a hearty finish.

Want more noods? Dry Mama Noodles (RM13.90) pair springy noodles with tender pork belly slices, eggs, and a squeeze of lime for balance.

Meanwhile, their Chicken Maryland Green Curry with Rice (RM16.50) combines crispy, juicy chicken with velvety green curry and a runny egg. Boran’s rice offerings don’t stop there — opt for their Thai Smoked Chicken Chop with Rice (RM16.50) if you prefer smoky savouriness brightened by a refreshing mango salad.

Their weekday lunch sets, available Mon to Sat, make the experience even more worthwhile. Each set comes with a signature drink and a piece of silky house-made tago, turning an already moresome meal into a well-rounded feast.

For bold Thai flavours without the fuss, Boran hits the sweet spot between comforting and exciting. Unpretentious yet flavour-packed, it is one of those easygoing neighbourhood gems that keeps you coming back for “just one more” plate of noodles or rice.

4. Hasan’s Rojak & Cendol

Hasan’s Rojak & Cendol is one of those long-standing PJ food institutions that locals keep returning to for good reason. This 3rd-generation roadside stall has been around for over 35 years, serving rojak and cendol that many still consider among the best in town.

The real star here is the rojak sauce — thick, nutty, slightly sweet, and gently spicy, coating every bite with bold flavour. Fresh fruits and crunchy fritters soak up the rich dressing beautifully, creating the kind of messy, satisfying street food experience that is impossible to stop eating halfway through. Prices start from RM7 for the Regular Rojak, while larger portions go up to RM10.
For an even more indulgent version, add sotong to your rojak. The extra squid brings a savoury chewiness that pairs well with the sweet-spicy sauce. The Sotong Rojak starts from RM10 and is easily one of the most popular orders at the stall.

Of course, no visit is complete without a bowl of their Cendol. Creamy, cooling, and generously drizzled with gula Melaka, it is exactly the kind of dessert you want on a humid PJ afternoon. A regular bowl starts from RM3, while bigger portions go up to RM6.

5. Kuro Coffee

Kuro Coffee in Sea Park pairs well-made coffee with warm textures, salvaged wood, and a quiet charm that’s instantly inviting. Part cafe, part curated lifestyle space, Kuro blends specialty brews, bakes, and small curated finds under its Kuro Select concept.

For black coffee, Yunnan Baoshan (RM12) offers bright citrus, cherry, and black tea notes, while Ethiopia Guji Haro Masako (RM18) leans fruitier with hints of grapes, peach, and dark chocolate. If you prefer milk-based coffees, Ethiopia Guji Masina White (RM14) is smooth, floral, and easy to enjoy.

Pair your drinks with their Signature Tofu Cheesecake (RM16), still one of Kuro’s most beloved creations for its silky texture and delicate richness. Their Hojicha Tofu Cheesecake (RM22) offers a deeper earthy flavour that works beautifully alongside their coffee selection.

6. Nasi Lemak Bumbung

Nasi Lemak Bumbung has long been one of Petaling Jaya’s most talked-about supper spots, earning a loyal following for its fragrant nasi lemak, crispy fried chicken, and late-night roadside charm. Tucked inside an alley in Sea Park, the setting may look modest at first glance, but the surprisingly clean and lively atmosphere only adds to its old-school appeal.

The must-order here is undoubtedly the Nasi Lemak Ayam (RM9), pairing fragrant coconut rice with crunchy peanuts, sambal, cucumber, and a piece of crispy ayam goreng that stays juicy beneath its golden crust.

Beyond nasi lemak, the stall also serves comforting local staples like Nasi Kandar Ayam (RM9), kuey teow goreng, mee goreng, bihun goreng, and even Maggi variations for those craving some munchies after dark.

7. Sunrise Roast Duck Restaurant

Sunrise Roast Duck Restaurant is one of Sea Park’s most reliable spots for roast duck, drawing loyal diners with its crispy skin, tender meat, and comforting old-school roast meat experience. Despite its no-frills setting, the restaurant has built a strong reputation over the years as one of KL and PJ’s go-to pork-free duck specialists.

The star here is, naturally, the Roast Duck itself, available from a quarter portion (RM21.50 to RM26.50) all the way up to a whole duck (RM86). Each serving arrives with beautifully roasted skin that is crisp and fragrant, while the meat stays juicy and flavourful beneath. The balance of savoury duck, rich gravy, and chilli sauce keeps customers coming back time and time again.

Ordering the duck with rice is the classic move, especially when the glossy gravy soaks into the fluffy rice perfectly. Pair it with a plate of vegetables (RM8 to RM18), available with or without oyster sauce, for a simple yet deeply satisfying meal.

8. Choon Prawn Mee House

Choon Prawn Mee House is a longtime Sea Park favourite for authentic Penang and Nyonya flavours, serving comforting bowls of prawn mee alongside an impressively extensive menu of heritage dishes. With over 40 years of recipes behind the kitchen, this spot continues to draw loyal regulars for its rich broths, bold sauces, and unmistakably Northern Malaysian flavours.

Their signature Ah Choon’s Signature Prawn Noodle (RM18.90) remains the must-order, built on a deeply aromatic prawn broth recipe that has been served since 1981. Another standout is the Penang Lor Cham Th’ng Noodle (RM18.90), a rare Penang-style combination of prawn soup and thick lor broth that delivers the best of both worlds in one bowl.

If you are feeling indulgent, the over-the-top noodle bowls are designed for serious appetites. The Queen of the Sea (RM38.90) piles on prawns, squid, and abalone slices, while the Porky King (RM46.90) packs in pork ribs, intestines, tails, slices, skin, and extra large prawns. The aptly named King of King (RM64.90) combines nearly everything on the menu into one massive bowl.

9. Hai Kah Lang

Hai Kah Lang has become one of Sea Park’s busiest seafood noodle destinations, drawing loyal crowds with its ultra-fresh seafood, comforting broths, and impressive variety. The name itself, which translates to “people by the sea” in Hokkien, reflects the restaurant’s focus on wild-caught seafood sourced daily from Sabah and the Philippines.
Hai Kah Lang has also earned the Michelin Bib Gourmand title in both 2023 and 2024, cementing its reputation as one of the Klang Valley’s standout spots for quality seafood noodles at reasonable prices.

One of the signatures here is the Mixed Seafood Noodle or Congee (RM28.90), loaded with a generous mix of seafood in a deeply savoury broth. The Signature Sauce Mix Seafood Dry Noodle (RM26.90) offers a richer, punchier option, coating noodles in a flavour-packed sauce alongside fresh seafood toppings.

Seafood lovers are spoiled for choice with the restaurant’s extensive menu. The Leopard Coral Grouper Fillet Noodle (RM21.90 with noodles), Indian Threadfin or Kurau Noodle (RM21.90 with noodles), and Spanish Mackerel Noodle (RM18.90 with noodles) showcase the freshness of the fish beautifully.

10. myBurgerLab

myBurgerLab is easily one of Sea Park’s most iconic homegrown success stories. Since opening its first outlet here in 2012, the burger joint has grown into a Malaysian favourite, known for juicy patties, freshly baked charcoal buns, and unique flavour combinations.
Inspired by burger legends like Shake Shack and In-N-Out, myBurgerLab started with one simple goal: serve really good burgers without shortcuts. More than a decade later, the original Sea Park outlet still draws long queues of loyal fans craving its signature fluffy black buns and freshly ground patties.

For first-timers, the Good Ol’ Cheeseburger (RM18) keeps things classic with Angus beef, pickles, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup done right. The Lab Burger (RM19.90) remains another crowd favourite, layering smoky tomato sauce and signature burger sauce over a juicy Angus patty.

Chicken burger fans are equally spoiled for choice. The Spicy Hawaiian (RM21.90) balances crispy fried chicken with pineapple and sriracha mayo, while the Salted Egg Burger (RM26.90) coats fried chicken thigh in creamy salted egg yolk sauce for a richer local twist.

How to choose where to eat in Sea Park & Taman Paramount
Choose Pentos & Basil when the plan calls for a slower sit-down meal, especially for pasta, risotto, or small group dinners. Hometown Hainan Coffee suits mixed cravings and flexible meal times, while Boran works well for quick Thai comfort food without spending much. For lighter stops or afternoon snacks, Hasan’s Rojak & Cendol and Kuro Coffee cover very different moods, from roadside street food to quiet coffee and cake. Nasi Lemak Bumbung fits late-night suppers, whereas Hai Kah Lang and Choon Prawn Mee House are better for hearty noodle meals centred on seafood or Penang-style broths. The area works best when matched to the kind of meal and pace you are after.
