1. DuDu Duck Cafe
If you’ve already ticked cat and dog cafes off your list, DuDu Duck Cafe offers something a little different. Located about 20 minutes from the JB Checkpoint at Tasek Central, this new pet cafe lets you meet four fluffy resident ducks, Dudu, Butter, Mochi and Boba, with 4 more expected to join the flock in August.
The menu features bites like Mentaiko Fries (RM26) and Korean Fried Chicken (RM24), alongside croissants, pasta and burgers. Don’t leave without trying the adorable Dudu Mango Pudding (RM18) or signature drinks topped with an edible duck-shaped dessert.

2. Ashhryshoshedap Santorini
Fans of Ashhryshoshedap now have another reason to visit for a special occasion this August, with the brand’s newest outlet bringing a slice of Santorini to R&F Mall, JB. The restaurant pairs blue-and-white Mediterranean-inspired interiors with breezy sea view by the window, making it an Instagram-worthy spot for your next meal.
The menu is just as extensive, covering local favourites, Western plates and Asian dishes. While the quirky menu names are part of the fun, you’ll find familiar comfort food like nasi goreng kampung, ayam penyet, salted egg buttermilk pasta, Boston lobster platter, and plenty more. Come for the scenery, stay for the variety.

Kunjungan is a new Muslim-owned cafe in Taman Istimewa that’s worth checking out if you’re after comforting Malaysian flavours. The menu keeps things simple, with hearty rice dishes like Nasi Ambeng, Nasi Dagang, and Nasi Hujan Panas, all priced at RM15.
Pair your meal with one of their coffee or matcha drinks, including the Vanilla Latte (RM12) or Matcha Latte (RM12). If you’re after something different, keep an eye out for seasonal specials like Iced Banana Bread Latte.

4. Cafe 209
Nestled in Sunway GRID Hub, Iskandar Puteri, Cafe 209 is a cosy neighbourhood cafe that’s perfect for slow mornings and catch-ups over brunch. The menu revolves around handmade pancakes, all-day brunch and specialty coffee, making it an easy choice no matter what time you visit.

5. Solene
If you’re looking to elevate date night or celebrate a special occasion, Solene is one of JB’s newest rooftop dining destinations. Perched on Level 26 of SKS Tower, the restaurant pairs sweeping city views with a refined setting inspired by modern grill houses.
The menu focuses on wood-fired and charcoal-grilled dishes, with highlights including Seared King Scallops (RM52), Charcoal Grilled King Prawn (RM79), Australian Black Angus steaks, and Claypot Seafood Paella (RM58).
There’s also an extensive drinks menu featuring wines, whiskies, brandies, gins and cocktails, making Solene an ideal spot for sunset dinners and evening drinks with a view.

6. B.DUCK City Funs by ONE UNIVERSE
Families visiting JB can now check out Southeast Asia’s first B.DUCK City Fun, a duck-themed funfair at AEON Mall Bandar Dato’ Onn running until April 2027. Filled with colourful B.DUCK installations and rides, it’s an easy pick for a family day out or school holiday activity.
There are multiple themed rides, including B.DUCK Around the World, Treasure Pirate Ship, and Windmill Trampoline, with individual rides priced at RM15. If you’re planning to stay longer, unlimited Day Passes start from RM88, while Monthly Passes from RM188 offer unlimited rides for 30 days, making it better value for repeat visits.
