1. SANG Seafood (Level 3-07)

A good Chinese seafood dinner is rarely about a single dish. It is about the parade of plates and the pleasure of passing them around. SANG Seafood at Level 3 of Ombak KLCC brings 4 decades of seafood heritage from Johor Bahru to its first outlet in Kuala Lumpur.
Malay Muslim-owned Sang Group is known for its halal Chinese seafood, carrying that legacy into a contemporary, cosy space. It suits a casual dinner after work, while larger groups can settle into VIP rooms for up to 50 guests.

Naturally, I started with SANG’s Signature Chilli Crab (from RM108). Sweet, meaty crab comes cloaked in a gently fiery sauce perfumed with bunga kantan, adding floral brightness to the richness. The Black Pepper Crab (from RM108) offers a darker, more savoury alternative.
A welcome change of pace comes in the form of Long Hu Grouper with Nyonya Sauce (RM168) — its firm, delicate flesh lifted by a zesty, spicy sauce. Next, Golden Nestum Prawn Cluster (RM48) brings juicy de-shelled prawns, crispy Nestum, curry leaves and chilli.
For a sweeter finish, Baby Sotong with Honey Sauce (RM38) pairs tender squid with a crackly coating and light honey glaze. I found it surprisingly difficult to stop at just one.
SANG Seafood keeps things accessible, with live crab from RM108 and 4 or 6-person value sets under RM100 per person. Even counted among the dining choices of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, its lasting appeal for me is simpler — generous seafood, good conversation and a meal worth lingering over.

2. JomAmigo Steamboat (Level 3-06)

JomAmigo Steamboat brings together a bubbling pot and tabletop grill, with a rotating conveyor belt that lets diners pick ingredients as they pass by or order them directly to the table. The Malaysian-born steamboat & grill buffet makes for an easygoing meal, particularly when dining with a group that cannot agree on just one thing.

The Steamboat BBQ Buffet starts from RM49.90, but the Supreme Buffet (from RM68 for adults) is worth considering for its more extensive selection, particularly the wider range of seafood.
The Supreme spread includes unlimited choices like blue mussels, baby cuttlefish, sea prawns, barramundi, tilapia, clams and scallops, alongside sliced beef, chicken, lamb, vegetables, chicken cocktail and cheesy tofu.
Choose 2 soup bases from Sichuan mala, mala milk, tomato, tom yam, chicken paitan and sukiyaki, then alternate between steamboat and grill. The in-house marinated meats are made for the grill, while those looking to splurge can add Australian Wagyu Sirloin (RM79) or Australian Wagyu Chuck Roll (RM55).

Beyond the steamboat selection, the buffet includes free-flow fried chicken, fried rice cakes, fried mantou, mee siam, pad kra pao chicken and rice. Build your own dip at the sauce station with condiments like garlic, coriander, roasted sesame sauce, Korean sweet-spicy glaze, green chilli and chilli oil.
Families can also make use of the kids’ playground, while groups of 10 receive a complimentary Kam Heong Crab with Fried Mantou, available exclusively at JomAmigo Ombak KLCC. Make sure to come early to snag a table, and come hungry!

3. Oriental Kopi (Level C-01-12)

Sometimes, all you need is a good plate of chicken rice, a generous ladle of curry and a glass of local coffee to set things right. Oriental Kopi has made a name for itself across Malaysia by giving familiar kopitiam favourites a place in the modern dining scene, and its Ombak KLCC outlet is no exception if you’re looking for comforting local food.

If curry is your weakness, start with the Nanyang Curry Chicken Rice (RM18.90). Made using the brand’s house recipe, the gravy is simmered over a slow fire for 4 hours with chillies, coconut milk and curry leaves. You can also enjoy it with toasted bread in the Nanyang Curry Chicken Toast (RM14.90), perfect for mopping up every last bit of sauce.
For something more classic, the Oriental Hainanese Chicken Rice (RM20.90) pairs tender, juicy chicken with fragrant rice, homemade soy sauce, and freshly pounded chilli and ginger. Each condiment brings its own sharp, savoury kick, making every mouthful that little bit more satisfying.
Of course, no kopitiam spread is quite complete without coffee. A cup of Kopi O (RM6.40) brings roasted, bittersweet notes to the table, making it an easy companion to a hearty meal or a much-needed afternoon caffeine fix.

4. Rotiboy (Level C-01-06)

Few bakery smells are as instantly recognisable as Rotiboy’s freshly baked coffee buns. Since starting out in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, in 1998, the homegrown brand has grown into an international name, winning fans over with its crisp, coffee-scented crust and soft, buttery centre. One whiff is often enough to send you looking for the nearest bun.
Now at Ombak KLCC, Rotiboy is giving fans another reason to drop by with its newly launched Shiobuns, available exclusively at this outlet. Choose from Shiobun (Original), Crème Brûlée Shiobun, Mentai Shiobun, and Vanilla Almond Shiobun.

Still, no visit would be complete without the original Rotiboy. Its signature coffee crust delivers that familiar aromatic crunch, giving way to a soft centre that is best enjoyed warm. Pair your bun with a cup of coffee for a classic combination, or switch things up with one of the outlet’s matcha drinks.

There is plenty more beyond the pastry counter. Options include Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread, Chicken Floss Buns, Gula Melaka Coconut Buns and Garlic Sausage Buns. Those after something more indulgent can keep an eye out for the Charcoal Musang King Swiss Roll and Snowy Berry Mochi.

6. Zaitoun (Level C-09)

Zaitoun offers a taste of Middle Eastern indulgence without requiring a trip far beyond Ombak KLCC. Established in Malaysia in 2022, the dessert brand specialises in Arabic and Turkish-style confectionery, bringing together traditional sweet treats in a convenient grab-and-go format.

Among its offerings are kunafa, known for its crisp, shredded pastry and rich, sweet fillings, alongside baklava, the flaky layered pastry traditionally made with nuts and syrup. Those who prefer smaller bites can also browse its selection of Turkish delights, colourful confections known for their soft, chewy texture and sweet flavours.
The appeal lies in having a range of treats to choose from, whether you are picking up a little something for yourself or looking for a sweet gift to bring home.
