Yes, you read that right. My colleague, Rachel and I were hit by major food coma after visiting OVER, competitive eater Zermatt Neo’s first-ever restaurant venture over at 54 Tras Street. Officially opening to the public on 28 Oct 2026, this shophouse space will allow diners to experience over-the-top massive portions that are meant to be shared. So, what kind of cuisine are we looking at here? Think Asian fusion, with familiar, hearty flavours.

Partnering with lifestyle and entertainment group, The Wolfpack Investment Holdings, Zermatt wanted OVER to be a restaurant that serves generous portions and possess a playful spirit. OVER is the table he had always wanted, with big plates, loud convos, and a friendly fight over the paiseh piece of chicken wing or spring roll.

Right off the bat, the menu gives you a choice of your portion size — Lesser (1 pax) or Standard (3 pax). Do note that the following pictures that you see are just teasers aka tasting portions that doesn’t depict the actual portion size.

OVER - starters

The Rolling Over Wakame (S$10/S$18) is a vegetarian spring roll appetiser that comes with wakame salad and sesame dressing, drizzled with a tangy house-made glaze. A Belly Good Time (S$15/S$28) consists of sliced pork belly that’s layered with aromatic shiso leaves and topped with crispy chilli. The sauce on the pork reminded me of lor bak and its robustness unfortunately masked the flavour of the shiso leaves. I also wished that the pork belly was a little softer. Thankfully, the fiery but crunchy chilli clusters saved the day.

One of my favourites was the Shoryu-Clams! (S$35/S$68) that had scrumptious white clams and earthy mushrooms, all bathed in a rich buttery shoyu sauce. It even comes with a slice of sourdough to mop up all that lovely gravy. Another top pick was the Wing Me Over (S$10 for 6 pieces, S$28 for 18 pieces). Indulge in crispy and juicy wings that come with your choice of house sauce — buffalo dashi, nam pla, or wasabi soy ginger. We dunked the wings into the wasabi soy ginger and though there wasn’t a spicy kick, the soy ginger concoction was robust enough to completely change the wing’s flavour profile in a lovely way.

OVER - mains

For mains, we savoured the Somen Like You (S$28/S$54). I was surprised that the somen, tossed in nanban and savoury soy sauce, looked more like linguine. However, ignore what I just said because I LOVED its chewy texture and fiery kick. It’s accompanied by crispy chicken cutlet, egg mayo, and fresh scallions. The Curry Me Over (S$23/S$44) comes with a crispy red snapper fillet, Nyonya achar, and fragrant Hom Mali rice. To me, the curry felt a little grainy and I wished they would have strained or mixed it more thoroughly.

OVER - burger

We also loved the exclusive Over Jett (S$28/S$54) burger that’s launched in collaboration with Jett Barbecue. Available at OVER till 30 Nov 2026, this decadent burger is stuffed with beef cheek, deep-fried chicken, crispy onion rings, eggs, and a creamy mayo dressing.

OVER - massive

Diners with appetites and stomach capacities as formidable as Zermatt Neo, are you up for a challenge? OVER introduces the Ultimate Food Challenge, where 3 dishes on the menu bearing the 8kg Challenge label must be eaten within a strict 1-hour time limit. Contenders can take up the challenge solo or in teams of up to 4 people. Successful participants will secure bragging rights and a permanent spot on OVER’s official Hall of Fame.  These are the dishes:

  • Wing Me Over (S$239)
  • A Belly Good Time (S$269)
  • Over Jett (S$469)

So, if you don’t mind being OVERfed or having food coma, come with an empty stomach to OVER at Tanjong Pagar with your family or friends.
