Panorama

Panorama by Pasta Fresca Da Salvatore is literally a secret drinking hole located above Pasta Fresca. From the balcony, you’ll have a panoramic view of the Singapore River while sipping on wines, perhaps that’s where they got the inspiration for its name.

Panorama offers over 70 types of wines and liquors alongside a menu of Italian dishes. The bar can accommodate up to 50 people and is opened for events reservation as well.

Opened on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only, these three days feature Happy Hour promotion at crazy low value!

Monday: Free-flow beer for three hours at $14.90 ++

Wednesday: Free-flow Prosecco for three hours at $14.90 ++

Friday: Free-flow red wine, white wine, sparkling wine, sangria and beer with a selection of antipasto and pasta buffet at $39 ++

Panorama

The view outside is amazing. Especially at night, drinkers can laze at the balcony, people-watch and admire the city lights of Singapore.

There are longer tables available in the bar that will be able to accommodate larger groups of people. But, for those who wants more intimacy, they may choose to sit by the bar top where drinks can also be readily topped up by the bartenders.

We arrived on a Friday and opted for the free-flow Friday promotion ($39 ++).

Besides the bottomless alcohol, there is a small selection of savoury food to go along with the drinks. On the buffet line, there are breadsticks, olives, pickled vegetables, pizzas, and pasta such as penne and lasagne. Some dishes may change when they run out for the day.

The cheese section is a hit amongst diners. Eaten together with assorted nuts that comes with it, they pair well with the wines.

The assorted ham is also the popular item from the buffet line. Nothing can go wrong with the air dried beef which my companions and I enjoyed every much. The food are also constantly being refilled, so you don’t have to frown upon empty trays.

We had a bit of everything, including several slices of pizza. It was lightly crisp on the surface and topped with tomato sauce and cheese.

Looking around, I noticed many of the diners were there not only for the booze, but for the food as well, seeing how the liquid buffet is rather affordable for its quality and prices.

The food items may not be that extensive, but it is decent enough. The variety of alcohol alone would have satisfied most drinkers too!

Panorama

Apart from the usual menu, for a limited period of time, Pasta Fresca is offering an Influencer’s Choice Menu showcasing five dishes created by five popular Instagrammers. The sales proceeds from the menu will be used to raise funds for Saint Claire School for Special Education. Now, that’s eating for a cause, and I’d gladly take up.

We had the Crema Del Mare ($25.50) which is an aglio olio-styled capellini infused with truffle oil, truffle flakes and truffle caviar. Despite having lots of truffle elements, it did little to overpower to the dish, while the pasta is light on the palate yet very tasty.

Panorama

We were torn between getting the MightySeafood ($24.50) or Alain’s Breakfast Pizza ($24.50), both of which looked good but we were already stuffed from the food and wines.

In the end, we chose Alain’s Breakfast Pizza which was topped with a generous amount of bacon, sundried tomato, ricotta cheese and a runny egg in the middle.

Follow the Italian way to devour it by spreading the ricotta cheese on the entire slice. This ensures that each biter remains creamy, savoury and crunchy all at once.

Do note that the dishes are available from now until end of December 2016, with plans to bring forward this menu till next year. So drop them a call first to check to avoid disappointment.

Expected Damage: $14.90 ++ per pax onwards
