Are you looking for something to do over the National Day weekend? Well, so am I, and I found the perfect weekend activity for families and individuals. SG Science Fest 2026 will be happening from 8 to 10 Aug 2026 at Science Centre Singapore from 10am to 6pm with free entry for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents.
It will be an immersive science festival with mesmerising shows, water science activities and thought-provoking play.

SG Science Fest 2026 will have live science shows, waterplay activities and immersive mystery experiences. There are discounted optional top-ups for access to more activities during SG Science Fest 2026; more information is available here.

The live science show I’m most looking forward to is ‘Robot’s Bytes to Bites’, which features a local hawker and a robot trying to make new hawker dishes using fire demonstrations and liquid nitrogen experiments. I’m excited to see whether the robot, Wok E or the human, Ah Bee, will succeed.
There are 4 showtimes: 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm, 4.30pm and I’ll be sure to reserve my ticket onsite at book stations available in the galleries.

I’ll also make the most out of my visit with their special discounted top-ups of S$9 for access to ONE Ocean or S$12 for access to ONE Ocean and the Omni-Theatre. With these top-ups, you can enjoy Omni-Theatre shows about marine life and environmental conservation. Additionally, there will also be a planetarium show with live musical performances.

Take the chance to cool down with Science Centre Singapore’s waterplay activities. The highlight for me is their ‘What Time Is It, Mr Shark?’ water game, inspired by the classic childhood game, Red Light-Green Light, which will be held in the Eco Garden.
Besides these individual games, put on your detective hat and participate in their mystery experience ‘Shipwrecked: Uncover the Mystery’. Have fun running around finding all the clues and puzzles to solve the mystery, with the experience spread across the Science Centre grounds. Participants on 8 – 10 Aug 2026 will get a complimentary SG Science Fest 2026 exclusive enamel pin, but the activity itself runs until 13 Sep 2026.
I anticipate I’ll be hungry after all these fun activities, and Science Centre Singapore has my back already! There’ll also be a pasar malam at the loading bay carpark with as many food stalls as my heart could possibly desire.
Have fun at Science Fest 2026!
