Beers are always welcomed and when you add on that beautiful adjective term, ‘craft’, it immediately seduces one better than it really should.
JiBiru has been doing so well at Somerset 313 and we are utterly pleased to know that their sister bar, Craft Beer Bar Takumi is now open for business.
To those who are worried about the craft beers that you can no longer get access to in JiBiru, you’ll be happy to know that Takumi is going to continuously serve you your dose of happiness.
Located in the sleek and chic Mandarin Hotel on Level 5, which also houses Bar On 5, Takumi stocks the more premium range of craft beers. I’m talking about Hitachino Nest White Ale ($9.50 a glass HH), Shiga Kogen Pale Ale ($10.50 per glass HH) and many more.
Let’s also not forget about the much celebrated micro brewery in Kanagawa Japan, SanktGallen Brewery, which carries pineapple ale, golden ale, etc. Yes, you can find them all here at Takumi Bar too!
XPA ($9.50 per glass HH)
What really caught my eye was the Yokohama XPA, that’s much like an IPA and serve fancy in a proper IPA glassware, which really helps to accentuate the aromatic citrus hoppy flavours. With that, it’s reason enough to check Takumi Bar out.
Pineapple Ale ($9.50 per glass HH)
Another unique craft beer to look out for is the Pineapple Ale and there’s currently only one keg in Singapore. A light and delicate ale, it has a subtle sweetness and is well balanced overall.
Psst, do look out for their Shonan Gold Orange Ale that is stipulated to arrive in Singapore soon. It’s brewed using Shonan Gold oranges from the Kanagawa Prefecture, which gives it a gentle and aromatic orange accent. Fruity, easy to drink and citrusy. Ah, just the perfect respite from the sweltering heat.
