It seems like Singapore is becoming a one-stop destination for bubble teas. Yet another bubble tea shop has landed in Singapore!

Yunique Tea (御黑堂) is a Taiwanese bubble tea brand which specialises in tea drinks.

With thousands of outlets across Taiwan, Malaysia and even Australia, this outlet in Toa Payoh is their first in Singapore.

For all you Brown Sugar Milk Tea connoisseurs out there, their Signature Messy Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Pearls 手抄黑糖脏脏茶 (S$4.50) is a must-try.

Compared to other brown sugar pearls out there, their brown sugar pearls are slightly firmer. That said, however, they are still delightfully chewy, which we enjoyed.

The pearls had a distinctively strong taste of brown sugar. But the caramel flavour didn’t linger, which was a pity.

For something a little fruity, I’d recommend the Cheesy Mango 芒果酪酪 (S$4.50).

The fruits they use for their drinks are all fresh, so the drink had a zesty taste which was simply rejuvenating. The mango and cheese worked well together too, with their flavours balancing with each other.

Their Hey! Pineapple 嘿凤梨 (S$3.50) is made using fresh pineapples too, with bits of actual pineapple flesh in it.

However, the black sugar didn’t go very well with the pineapple. The immense sourness of the pineapple clashed with the sweetness of the black sugar.

Compared to other bubble tea joints in Singapore, the price range at Yunique Tea is pretty pocket-friendly. I’ll definitely return for their Signature Messy Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Pearls if I’m in the area.
