I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream, and I screamed upon seeing Tom’s Palette’s announcement that they will be closing mid to late Oct 2026.
Established in 2005, the 21-year-old homegrown brand has been whipping up housemade gelato ever since. They became known for their unconventional and innovative gelato flavours, which include Salted Egg Yolk, Nasi Lemak and Mango Sticky Rice. Tom’s Palette also has classic gelato flavours such as Cookies & Cream and Strawberries & Cream.
In an Instagram post on 11 Aug 2026, Tom’s Palette announced their closure, saying “We’re very sorry that we can’t keep this dream running for much longer”. They had posted a video on 8 Apr 2026 talking about rising costs and burnout amidst the slew of F&B closures in Singapore.
Despite this saddening news, Tom’s Palette is bringing back their most-requested flavours for 1 last encore until their doors close. Starting from 11 Aug 2026, 3 of their most beloved gelato flavours will be released for pre-order on their website and for purchase in their stores.
This release will happen every Tue of the week at 6pm. Do note that flavours are limited stock, so do be quick, as this will quite literally be one of the last few times we can all savour Tom’s Palette gelatos.
The 3 encore flavours released from 11 Aug to 23 Aug 2026 are the Chocolate collection: Mocha MacNut, Nasty Mix and Melt & Sizzle version 2. Melt & Sizzle version 2 will be available starting from 14 Aug 2026.
25 Aug to 6 Sep 2026 will showcase the Local, Part One collection, which includes Bubbly Spring, Pi Pa Gao and Taiwanese Sesame Brittle.
8 Sep to 20 Sep 2026 will showcase the Local, Part Two collection, which includes Kueh Bangkit, Soya Bean Youtiao and Salted Egg Yolk.
Durian lovers can start cheering as, from 22 Sep to 4 Oct 2026, it’ll be the Durian collection, including Mao Shan Wang, Mango Sticky Rice and Triple Coconut.
Their final collection is the Halloween collection from 6 Oct until they close, but flavours have yet to be revealed as of the writing of this article.
