If you are a fan of the Despicable Me film franchise, time to go ba-na-nas. Minion Land will open at Universal Studios Singapore (USS), Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) next year.

The upcoming themed zone at USS, inspired by the Despicable Me film franchise, is part of their post-pandemic tourism recovery plans. It will take over what was formerly the Madagascar zone.

Minion Land is the result of a partnership between Universal Creative, filmmakers from Illumination, and RWS, Asia’s favourite lifestyle destination resort.

If you’re a Singapore resident, pay S$59 for a one-day pass. Foreigners pay S$62.

Minion Land will take guests into the Despicable Me and Minions movies. They will be able to experience 3 areas: Minion Marketplace, Gru’s Neighbourhood and Super Silly Fun Land.

1. Minion MarketPlace

Minion Marketplace is the one-stop location to shop all things Minions. Get your hands on Minion-themed apparel, plush toys, homeware, confections, treats and other fun souvenirs.

2. Gru’s Neighbourhood

Next to the Minion Marketplace is Gru’s Neighbourhood, where the former supervillain now lives. Guests can look forward to the Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction here.

The immersive motion simulator ride brings guests on a ride through Gru’s laboratory as they are transformed into Minions for his newest ploy.

3. Super Silly Fun Land

Super Silly Fun Land, the seaside carnival from Despicable Me, is right across the street from Minion Marketplace and Gru’s Neighbourhood.

Guests can enjoy fun rides and indulge in deliciously themed food in a colourful venue complete with sweeping views of the lagoon.

Buggie Boogie, found within Super Silly Fun Land, is the USS’ first Minion dance party-themed carousel. Hop abroad a spaceship and dance to songs remixed by the Minions.

Other surprises await guests in USS Minion Land. These include photo opportunities with the Minions at a courtyard fountain where the Minions are making mischief yet again.
