Consumer Electronics Exhibition (CEE)

The Consumer Electronics Exhibition (CEE) is another large-scale tech fair that is held in the middle of the year, and this year’s edition will take place 29-31 May at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. CEE is similar to the IT Show in the sense that it provides an avenue for consumers to discover the latest gadgets and tech innovations at discounted prices.
What is unique about CEE is that, beyond just tech products, it also usually features lifestyle products like furniture, home essentials and more. So, if you can imagine yourself going on a shopping spree in the middle of the year, keep a lookout for news on CEE and when it will take place again.

Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sales 2026

Now, when it comes to the biggest tech sales in a year, few come close to the deals you can get during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The weekend of Black Friday and Cyber Monday falls on 27 – 30 Nov this year.
Tech shoppers can expect sales online and in stores everywhere. So if you’re itching to get a tech upgrade but want to wait till a time with good deals to do so, mark down those dates on your calendar.
If you want to purchase your next tech product sooner rather than later, you can also keep a lookout on platforms such as Shopee and Lazada. Or, you can subscribe to newsletters from your favourite tech brands to be updated on the latest offers. It is also common for sales to happen every month on “double-digit days” like 11 Nov (11.11).
Best for: Deal-hunters timing big tech purchases
IT Show 2026

Singapore’s biggest tech show and exhibition is back from 12 to 15 Mar at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. If you are looking for promos, new launches and tech demos, this is the place for you.
Promising to be an “intersection of Work, Home and Play”, the IT Show 2026 will span 2 levels and be packed with brands across smart homes, gaming, mobile devices and more. Personally, I would love to drop by to check out offers on desktop computers, as my home set-up is due for an upgrade.

Galaxy Unpacked

Samsung Galaxy users, that time of the year has come again. Samsung is expected to announce its next line of Galaxy flagship phones at the end of February, specifically the S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra.
Typically, Samsung’s first Galaxy Unpacked event of each year introduces these brand new generations of Samsung Galaxy phones and takes place between January and February. Samsung has just announced that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on 26 Feb, 2am SGT. So make sure to tune in to their YouTube channel to discover the next AI phone.

To be announced
Beyond just the tech events that have been confirmed so far, we can also expect a few yearly events to happen, based on past years. The following are events yet to be announced but are highly likely to be confirmed in the coming months.
Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC)

Since we mentioned Samsung, we also got to talk about the Apple fanboys’ favourite tech giant. The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is a yearly event hosted by Apple, where the company’s latest innovations in software are announced and showcased.
The focus of this event is usually on introducing new versions of operating systems like iOS, macOS and watchOS. Sometimes, hardware announcements are also made, but that has not happened in the last 2 years.
It was during WWDC 2025 when Apple’s Liquid Glass design was first unveiled, bringing a new look to all of Apple’s operating systems. This new design language received polarising responses, so I am quite curious what changes they would bring this year.
Based on patterns in past years, we can expect WWDC 2026 to take place sometime in June.
Best for: Apple users and developers tracking software updates
COMEX 2026

The organisers behind IT Show and CEE are also the minds behind COMEX. This is another large-scale tech show similar to the others, with its 2025 edition taking place from 28 to 31 Aug at the same Suntec venue.
Last year’s event had a unique SG60 theme, complete with historical exhibits and immersive racing simulators. Though this year’s event has not been confirmed, it should take place roughly in the same time period as last year and have its own special twist as well.
Fun fact: Some TVB actors made an appearance at COMEX in 2019.

The Tech Show 2026

The last major tech show you can expect this year is literally called The Tech Show. The previous one just took place a couple of months ago, from 30 Oct to 2 Nov, so we would probably not see it return until late 2026.
This will likely also be the last big tech show of the year before the holiday season hits, so it might be the perfect opportunity to shop not just for yourself, but for family and friends.

Apple Event

When it comes to highly anticipated tech announcements, few come close to the yearly reveal of Apple’s new iPhones, both in excitement and scale. The Apple Event, which typically takes place sometime in September each year, is streamed live on the Apple website and YouTube.
This year’s Apple Event is rumoured to be a special one, as there are chances that a new foldable iPhone could be revealed alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Other devices, such as the base iPhone 18, new Apple Watches and next-generation iPads could also be announced at the same time or pushed to a later date.
Personally, Apple’s latest iPhone 17 Pro design did not appeal to me as much as previous models, so I would definitely be catching this year’s event to see how they improve on it.
