Eggs benedict is arguable the most well-loved brunch item everywhere, and its popularity has led to the birth of Eggs Benedict Day.
This year, D’Good Cafe is celebrating Eggs Benedict Day with a limited edition Eggs in the Woods ($19.50). Essentially, a truffle eggs ben that certainly knocks it out of the park.

This exclusive eggs benedict will only be available until 30 April 2018. I’d suggest going down as soon as possible to try it as you’ll want to have it as many times as you can.

Right off the bat, this eggs benny looks different from any others; the two perfectly poached eggs sit on top of a bed of mashed potatoes instead of toasted muffins. It’s also surrounded by fried potato crisps which accentuate the forest theme.
Unlike most truffle dishes, this particular eggs benny doesn’t use truffle oil. Instead, the truffle aroma comes from the truffle paste and red wine sauce that’s drizzled around the dish, as well as the truffle shavings used to garnish the dish.

This means that the truffle flavours are subtle and mellow, great for those who aren’t so keen on strong musky flavours but still want to give it a try.
