You can either chomp on original platters of maki or relish in their new, titillating Ramadan flavours, such as Rendang and Nasi Lemak for that gratifying savoury kick.

The A-Yum Rendang ($9.90) will fly you to umami paradise, which consists of Japanese white rice, crunchy cucumber, boiled egg chunks, chicken rendang, coconut flakes and peanut anchovies, tied together in a roll with Shiok Sambal (literally shiok) sauce.

If you enjoyed the Nasi Lemak Burger from McDonald’s, you will enjoy Maki-San’s Maki-Lemak ($9.90) roll for its tempura otah slices married with sambal sauce and roasted coconut shavings, neatly wrapped in a fluffy egg crepe layer.

Maki-San is halal-certified, and they make indulging in these local flavours so much easier in a single roll. Come, let’s makan maki!
