Yes, you heard it right! Old Chang Kee has just released the Grilled Jumbo Chicken Leg (S$3.90) and Black Curry Puff Cheesy-licious Chicken’O (S$2).

Old Chang Kee Jumbo Chicken And Black Curry Puff 2

My initial impression of the Grilled Jumbo Chicken Leg was that it looked rather ordinary, but I was proven wrong — the skin was as crispy as I expected it to be, and as we tore into the chicken, we were pleasantly surprised at how tender the meat was.

The chicken meat was also slightly savoury with a hint of char. It would make a pretty good snack if you feel like munching on something in-between meals!

Ock Jumbo Chicken And Black Curry Puff 1

Old Chang Kee’s Cheesy-licious Chicken’O, on the other hand, was pretty underwhelming. I was excited when I first tore it open, as a strong smell of cheddar cheese filled the air. But as I bit into it, I realised it was nothing more than just their ordinary curry puff with cheese.

It wasn’t as fantastic as I wanted it to be, and it could do with more seasoning. But it’ll still make a pretty decent curry puff for an afternoon tea break.

If you’re looking for a savoury snack, head over to any of the Old Chang Kee outlets and get your hands on these goodies!

Prices: S$2 – S$3.90 per pax

An ideal dinner would be fresh sashimi and a slice (or two) of cheesy pizza.
