Remember a few weeks ago when Malaysia came out with a Chicken Chop Milo Earthquake? Well, this unique dish has finally made its way to Singapore!

Popular for their Raclette Cheese, Flavour Flings has now added Milo Coated Chicken Pops (S$9.90) to their menu. Unlike the version sold in Malaysia, these Milo Coated Chicken Pops are served with a choice of Sambal Belachan Mayo or Nacho Cheese Sauce. If you would like both, just add S$1 to your meal.

Once the dish arrived, I was overwhelmed by the chocolatey aroma of the Milo powder, which coated every surface and crevice of the chicken.

Expecting it to be sweet like Milo, I was surprised to taste more of the savoury chicken instead. However, with the liberal amounts of Milo powder, there was a strong malty flavour as an aftertaste.

I tried both of their dips, and I have mixed feelings about them. I preferred the Sambal Belachan Mayo, as it added a spicy kick to the whole dish, and helped cut through the sweetness of the Milo powder.

If you aren’t a fan of the coat of Milo powder, the Nacho Cheese dip would be the sauce for you as it overpowered all the other flavours in the dish.
