Not too long ago did our American friends get a taste of our childhood when Wanderlust Creamery in the U.S. came up with White Rabbit-flavoured Ice Cream. While we’ve had our share of that in Singapore courtesy of Sunday FolksWaka Waka Gelato in KL has surpassed everyone on the nostalgia spectrum by introducing their new hawflake-inspired flavour, Haw Haw Tatayo (RM6 for mini scoop, RM9 for single scoop, RM15 for double scoop).

We’d like to believe that this was part of everyone’s childhood but for the small handful who haven’t had this snack, you’ll soon realise what you’re missing out. A generous amount of crumbled candied haw flakes is combined into the vanilla gelato base, making sure you get sweet and tangy flavours in every spoonful.

Each scoop also comes with their in-house specially created haw flake candy syrup drizzled over your gelato, adding up to a more concentrated flavour.
