All the durian lovers out there will know that it’s going to be durian season soon.
And you know what that means: it’s time to gorge yourselves silly on the King of Fruits!
Marriott Cafe in Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel is joining in the fun this year with the return of its highly anticipated Durian High Tea Buffet (from S$45++)!
Available only from 3 June – 31 July 2019, you can enjoy free-flow durian desserts from 3pm – 5.30pm daily. What can be better than the best of durian creations, accompanied by mouthwatering local delicacies cooked with the freshest ingredients?
The Durian High Tea Buffet might not come cheap but you’ll be getting your money’s worth, as only top-grade Mao Shan Wang durian will be used.
Highlights include Durian Red Bean Pudding, Durian Tarts, Durian Coconut Custard, Durian Gateau, Durian Crumble, and more.
I’m personally pretty excited to try out the Durian Rojak and Durian Roti John in particular. I’m really curious to see how Marriott Cafe is going to recreate these local favourites.
There’s even a live crepe station serving Durian Crepes, made freshly for you.
There are also durian drinks if you want something a little easier to consume. For an additional S$5++ each, you can grab a glass of Durian Pandan Smoothie or Durian Banana Smoothie.
The Durian High Tea Buffet also offers non-durian dishes for those who aren’t fans of this thorny fruit.
There will be a wide range of local delights available including Dim Sum, Oyster Omelette, Bak Kut Teh, Satay, and more, just in case you want to switch things up between all those durian dishes.
If you’re a durian lover, the Durian High Tea Buffet is certainly something you do not want to miss out on. Where else can you get to stuff your face with dishes made from premium Mao Shan Wang durian?
Be sure to make your reservations early though, as there will probably be a long waiting list for this long-anticipated promotion!
