Gong Cha Brings Back Bandung Milk Tea For National Day 2019

National Day is coming soon, and Gong Cha Singapore has brought back its BandungMilk Tea with Strawberry Pearl (S$3.50) to commemorate the occasion.

If you didn’t manage to get a taste of it last year, now’s your chance!

Since most of us are familiar with the rose-flavoured bandung drink, it only makes sense to enjoy a nostalgic creation on our nation’s birthday.

The drink came in distinct layers of light-tan and vibrant pink, which makes a nice Instagram shot even before mixing it.

After giving the drink a good shake, the colours blended together to form a pretty ombre pink.

Taste-wise, the rose fragrance was distinct but not overpowering, blending pretty well with the milk tea. The strawberry pearls have a tougher consistency similar to Gongcha’s white pearls, and only have a slight tinge of strawberry. I would have liked if the pearls were a bit sweeter and chewier like their black pearls.

Overall, I feel that the drink is a safe combination of bandung and milk tea.
