Toast Box has always been my go-to for morning coffee and a hearty breakfast. When I’ve worked up an appetite, I always opt for a bowl of their flavourful mee rebus.

To celebrate this Chinese New Year, Toast Box launched four limited-edition items which will be available until 8 February 2020.

If you’re a fan of savoury snacks, I expect you’ll enjoy their Golden Yam Cake Bites 炸芋头糕 (S$3), a bite-sized classic snack made with shiitake mushrooms, fried shallots, peanuts and dried shrimp.

This delectable dish is lightly garnished with spring onions and served with a plate of fragrant garlic sauce. A Golden Yam Cake Set with a warm cup of kopi or teh is also available at S$4.50.

To satisfy your sweet tooth, Toast Box also launched a timeless classic dessert—Tang Yuan in Red Bean Soup 红豆汤圆 (S$2.80). Dried orange peel and pandan leaves are infused within the warm red bean soup, so expect a tinge of subtle tanginess and a beautiful aroma to the dessert. Sweet potato and taro rice balls will also be served in this aromatic dish.
