The 3.5km Changi Jurassic Mile has been making the headlines the past few weeks and it seems like the dinosaur exploration trend is not coming to a halt. Adding to our list of themed pop-up restaurants is the brand new Jurassic World Cafe—a dinosaur-themed cafe inspired by none other than our all-time favourite movie, Jurassic Park.
Running from 6 November 2020 to 3 January 2021, this experiential dining cum retail pop-up will be running for 2 months at ION Sky. Unique food options aside, the space also includes a life-sized model of Blue, a velociraptor made famous by the sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
While exact prices of the dishes have yet to be revealed, let’s take a look at the variety of food the cafe has to offer.
For a fiery hit, feast on their Volcano Curry, an edible volcano made with charcoal rice spewing curry lava. Additionally, the Jurassic World Burger is a scrumptious stack for meat-loving carnivores to indulge in with a side of warm fries.
There’s no better representation of an active volcano than Jurassic World Cafe’s Lava Flow. Watch the lava come to life with chocolate oozing out of the molten chocolate cake as it flows down your plate to mix with the strawberry sauce drenched on top.
Both kids and adults will also have fun with their Fossil Excavation, digging through their dark chocolate brownie topped with peanut and chocolate soil.
Dinosaur inspired drinks such as the Brachiosaurus Chendol and Mosasaurus Soda are also available to go with your dishes. What’s more, diners will also get a free limited edition coaster with any order from the drinks menu and a limited edition placemat with any dish ordered!
A morning walk at the Changi Jurassic Mile followed by brunch at Jurassic World Cafe definitely sounds like an unforgettable day to me. With school holidays just around the corner, I would expect the Jurassic World Cafe to be filled with an eager crowd, so don’t forget to make your reservation early to avoid any disappointment.
