We all have that one friend whose first and only choice for food will be the famous Jollibee, which hit our shores in 2013 and has seen snaking queues every day since. Another eatery beloved by Filipinos will be joining the club soon—Shakey’s Pizza. Set to open its first outlet in Lucky Pizza, fans can expect to spend their cheat days on a cheesy pizza, hopefully when Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) restrictions ease and we’re all allowed to dine in again.
Shakey’s Pizza boasts a plethora of thin crust pizzas deemed to be world famous and the best-tasting, so get ready for a solid feast. Options include a new Glazed Bacon Pizza Americana, which is topped with sweet bacon and parsley. You can also give the Manager’s Choice Pizza Americana a shot, an upgraded version of their original Manager’s Choice.
These Manager’s Choice pizzas are loaded with ham, beef, Italian sausage, green bell peppers, and onions, and topped with the mozzarella cheese we all love. Steak enthusiasts will definitely not want to miss out on the Angus Steakhouse Pizza, made with Angus beef, mushrooms, onions, and topped with crunchy potato strings. This carb-on-carb combination might just result in elevated blood pressure, but it’s definitely not a mi-steak placing our order for three of these, thank you very much.
No feast is complete without a hefty portion of sides, and Shakey’s Pizza takes the lead with this one. Go ham with their Mojos ‘n’ Dip, which feature their signature fried potato slices, to be enjoyed with sauces like the Zesty Caesar, Garlic Ranch, Smoky Barbeque or Cheddar De Luxe dips. If your family’s full of meat-lovers, top up extra for the Chicken ‘n’ Mojos Blowout, which comes with 20 pieces of fried chicken and a basket of Mojos.
Shakey’s Pizza’s official launch is unconfirmed, though we’ve all got our fingers crossed that we’ll be able to celebrate it in person at Lucky Plaza real soon.
