Just a month ago, we reported on the closure of the beloved bakery, Tigerlily Patisserie. Unfortunately, another Joo Chiat bakery has followed suit— the popular cafe, LUNA Patisserie, will be closing its Joo Chiat outlet on 12 May 2024.

The news was announced on the bakery’s social media on 9 May, in which they assured their customers that the business would continue operating at their Amoy Street outlet.

LUNA Patisserie opened along Joo Chiat Road in Nov 2022, in which it donned a sleek, industrial look. Cafe hoppers in the East would be treated to delicious outlet exclusives, including the Strawberry Vanilla Panna Cotta, Cassis Chocolate and Caramel Banana Chocolate.

Fans of the bakery need not be too upset, though, for LUNA has teased a new upcoming store— Lucine by LUNA, their brand new concept, will soon open at 111 Somerset.

Head down to LUNA Patisserie at Joo Chiat before their closure this weekend to enjoy their popular treats, including cakes like the Orh Nee Cake (S$8.50) and Classic Cheesecake (S$8.50).

The bakery is well known for its tarts, too— the Citrus Tart (S$8.50) contains tangy lime curd, orange confit and vanilla sponge while Pistachio Hazelnut (S$8.50) is filled with roasted pistachio cremeux and whipped hazelnut ganache. The Melon Berry Tart (S$8.50) is a unique creation that combines sweet rock melon curd with blue pea chantilly cream, encased within an almond fragipane tart.

Dig into beautiful entremets such as LUNA 2.0 (S$9), the bakery’s signature creation made with Valrhona Guanaja 70% chocolate mousse, hazelnut sponge, crushed hazelnuts, salted caramel, hazelnut dacquoise and dark chocolate-coated feuilletine. The super unique Tofu (S$8.50) is crafted with silken tofu cream, hazelnut ganache and buckwheat-infused crème anglaise mousse, and is made to look like a piece of tofu!

Head down today to support LUNA Patisserie during their final days in Joo Chiat.
