In celebration of Singapore’s National Day, McDonald’s is launching new burgers with local flavours on 25 July 2024 — another local twist to a classic McDonald’s burger.

These include the Satay Beef Burger (from S$8.90) and Satay Chicken Burger (from S$8.90), featuring cucumber slices, onions, and satay peanut sauce, all nestled in sesame buns. The Satay Beef Burger features a succulent beef patty, perfectly grilled to retain its juiciness and flavour. The star of the burger is undoubtedly the rich satay sauce, made from a blend of aromatic spices and creamy peanut butter, providing a delightful nutty and slightly spicy taste.

If beef is not your thing then you might want to consider the chicken version instead with what I would presume is the same chicken patty as the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken (S$9.80).

If this sounds familiar then you might remember that this was previously launched back in 2014 with its thick peanut sauce and a juicy patty or in other words you might be getting old.

A teaser video also hints at a third burger set to debut on 8 August – I am assuming it is specifically chosen to be just in time for National Day. While some have speculated that the popular Nasi Lemak Burger sold out quickly in 2017, it is actually the Har Cheong Gai Chicken Burger (from S$8.90) that was launched back in 2018.

Additionally, McDonald’s will introduce a new Thai Milk Tea Frappé (S$4.70 for à la carte) and bring back the beloved Crisscut Fries (S$4.70 for à la carte). For desserts to cool off during this hot period is also the Coconut Soft Serve Cone (S$1.20). These new items will be available from 11am daily, starting tomorrow!
