Ah, the supermarket – a wonder of modern living. A place where you can shop for necessities in comfort and convenience. In Singapore, we are certainly not left wanting for variety, and Scarlett Supermarket’s latest outlet at Westgate Mall has now joined the fray.
Scarlett Supermarket first made its appearance on our sunny shores in October 2020, with its first outlet opening on Trengganu Street. They’ve since expanded quite rapidly, with 32 outlets across the island. They offer value-for-money products from a large variety of popular Chinese brands which cover daily groceries as well as a large selection of Chinese snacks.
To date, this is the largest outlet in Singapore and the first to offer live seafood and a butchery section. Aside from live fish swimming around in large tanks, there’s also shellfish like clams, oysters and conch. If you’re feeling particularly high SES, though, you can go for the more luxurious offerings like lobsters and king crab.
The butchery section is nothing to be scoffed at either. A wide array of choice cuts from pork, beef and chicken awaits you.
And if you need to refuel after stocking up, you don’t need to go far. This supermarket has a spacious dine-in area with a dizzying variety of Chinese cuisine to choose from. Feel like mala, or perhaps you want some xiao long bao? No worries.
Or maybe you want burgers and fries instead – Shiok Burger’s got you. There’s also Cotti Coffee in case you need a caffeine fix, too.
With all these amenities and a huge variety of products under one roof, Westies sure do have it good!
