Some afternoons call for slowing down over dainty bites and fresh-steeped tea, and InterContinental Singapore in Bugis has rolled out just the spread to help you hit pause. Say hello to The Lobby Lounge‘s all-new Mindful Moments Afternoon Tea, starring a selection of decadent treats perfect for that mid-day indulgence.

mindful moments afternoon tea - ambience

Freshly launched on 1 Sep and available until 13 Nov 2025, the Mindful Moments Afternoon Tea joins The Lobby Lounge’s famed repertoire of themed afternoon teas, which sees a refresh every quarter. It’s served daily across 2 seatings:

  • 1st Seating: 1pm to 3pm
  • 2nd Seating: 3.30pm – 5.30pm

True to its name, this instalment encourages slow, mindful enjoyment through a spread crafted from carefully sourced ingredients — think ethically farmed salmon and single-origin chocolate, among others. Paired with the lounge’s cushy ambience, it coaxes you to pause and savour every bite.

mindful moments afternoon tea - full set

Priced from S$130++ on weekdays and S$140++ on weekends, each set serves two with a selection of 10 sweets and savouries, plus free-flow ice cream and your choice of freshly brewed coffee or loose-leaf tea. Presented in an elegant cream-coloured box, the lid lifts to reveal a mirror inscribed with a personalised, handwritten message from The Lobby Lounge — perfect for an adorable selfie with your other half before you dig in.

It also comes equipped with a nifty QR code, which scans to reveal the story behind each creation in the spread.

mindful moments afternoon tea - savouries

Pull open the drawer and you’ll find a trio of meat-focused small plates:

  • Aquna Murray Cod: My favourite of the lot, this chilled cod roulade is filled with toothsome scallop-spinach mousseline, its clean flavour lifted by earthy truffle and a dab of tangy herb mayo.
  • Little Joe Grass-fed Beef: Meaty MS4 striploin slices are layered with bright pickled cucumber, smoky piquillo pepper, sesame seeds and a finishing drizzle of yakiniku sauce, making for a skewer that hits all the right notes.
  • White Pyrenees Lamb: This one’s a deconstructed pot pie of sorts, featuring tender braised lamb tucked beneath a crisp layer of delicate filo pastry and a scattering of pistachio bits. I don’t quite fancy lamb for its gaminess, but I polished this one clean.

mindful moments afternoon tea - salmon quiche

Served grandly on its own dish is the Akaroa King Salmon Quiche, another selection I simply couldn’t pry my hands off. Fluffy egg-cheese filling is studded with crunchy asparagus and salmon that flakes beautifully, complemented by hints of dill and lemon lending a welcome tangy lift.

mindful moments afternoon tea - scones & spreads

No afternoon tea is complete without some buttery scones, and The Lobby Lounge duly delivers in that department. Their English Buttermilk and Blood Peach & Ginger Scones strike the perfect balance of crumb and fluff, with the latter hiding bits of candied ginger for little pops of warmth. And don’t forget to pair each bite with a dollop of clotted cream, a smear of marmalade or a swipe of mango.

mindful moments afternoon tea - sweets

Ah, every sweet tooth’s favourite section: dessert! Be spoiled for choice over 5 tantalising treats — or not, because they’re all yours.

mindful moments afternoon tea - close-up of sweets

As an avid fan of açai, the Açai Bowl was a stunner in my books. This compact, mousse-like spin on the superfood pairs açai gel and banana for a tart-sweet creaminess, perched atop a crunchy, nutty granola base. Also worth a shout are the Éclat Cacao — a rich morsel of smooth 64% chocolate mousse layered with crunchy hazelnut streusel, along with the fresh, zingy Lemon & Basil Tartlet — a refreshing, citrusy treat perfumed with hints of basil.

Rounding out the sweets are the Madagascar Vanilla & Olive Oil Cake and Carrot Cake 2.0. The vanilla cake is soft and fragrant, the fluffy sponge kissed with a subtle whisper of olive oil. The carrot cake, meanwhile, feels like a warm hug with its moist, lightly spiced crumb and creamy frosting — so good, you’d never guess it’s made without butter or eggs.

mindful moments afternoon tea - drinks

If you’re looking to add a spirited twist to your tea, top up S$30++ for free-flow Margaritas and Palomas made with Don Julio tequila. The first to earn the Environmentally Responsible Agave Certification, Don Julio’s liquors are crafted with care for the planet in support of sustainable agave farming.

Alternatively, snag a complimentary glass instead. Simply share your Mindful Moments Afternoon Tea experience on Instagram with #MindfulMoments and tag @thelobbyloungesg to redeem a drink on the house anytime until 13 Nov 2025Salut!
