If you can’t get enough of A&W, then never fear. The all-American fast food brand has brought its frosty root beer floats, crispy curly fries, and juicy fresh chicken to VivoCity, where it opened a new outlet on 3 Sep 2025.

The chain opened its new outlet to much fanfare from diehard fans and curious newcomers alike. It’s A&W’s 9th outlet in Singapore, with this new opening coming as a relief after the unfortunate closing of their AMK Hub outlet on 20 Apr 2025

Despite that setback, A&W has been going strong in the little red dot ever since its prolific return in 2019 with its Changi Jewel outlet. It’s not uncommon to pass by and see a snaking line streaming out of any A&W outlet at any time of the day.

The opening coincides with the launch of their new PepperChic Hot Dog (S$7.25 a la carte) on 14 Aug 2025, a classic A&W Coney Dog in all its succulent, meaty goodness, with the addition of a black pepper sauce that’ll prick at your taste buds. It will only be sold for a limited time, so be quick!

Never forget their signature Root Beer Float (S$3.50), too. No journey (or pilgrimage) to an A&W outlet is complete without this bubbling beast of a drink, and make sure to smile for the eventual selfie of foam on your lips.

Even in the hyper-competitive world of fast food in 2025, A&W’s Golden Aroma Chicken (S$10.30 for 2pcs) continues to be a mainstay for a reason. The name speaks for itself, frankly. Its juicy bursts of flavour perfectly contrast the malt of A&W’s Root Beer Floats.

As a fast-food enthusiast from the north, the loss of A&W’s AMK Hub outlet was a crippling blow. But the law of equivalent exchange has proven that, come bad, also comes good.
