Hospital staff, office workers and nearby residents around Novena can now look forward to new dining options at Novena Square 2‘s latest food court. Situated on the 4th storey next to FairPrice, Hawkers’ Street has just opened its 6th outlet on 26 Sep 2025, boasting 9 stalls including 4 Michelin-recognised brands.

I was excited when I saw the popular 545 Whampoa Prawn Noodle having a new branch here. Prices are slightly higher than the regular S$5 option at Tekka Centre. To be honest, I wasn’t aware that they were Michelin-recommended!

Everyone who visits usually gets the dry or soup signature Prawn Noodle (S$6.90) by default. You can also indulge in the Pork Rib Prawn Noodle (S$8.90), Pork Liver Prawn Noodle (S$8.50), and Pig Tail Prawn Noodle (S$8.90). Taste-wise, the noodles managed to maintain the same standard set by their other branch, with the prawn soup retaining its rich umami profile — plus points for consistency! I just tried their prawn mee yesterday at Tekka Centre, so I’m the best candidate to make a comparison.

Swing by Michelin-recommended Tai Seng Fish Soup for its piping-hot bowls of Mixed Fish Soup (S$6.30/S$8.30/S$10.30), Fish Head Soup (S$6.30), and Seafood Soup (S$8.30). If you’re looking for something fiery to whet your appetite, try the Tom Yum Mixed Fish Soup (S$7.30/S$9.30/S$11.30).

Westies will be familiar with the next Michelin Guide stall — Hup Hong Chicken Rice hailing from Yuhua Village Food Centre. Chicken rice lovers can enjoy Steamed or Roasted Chicken Rice (S$5.30/S$7.30) or 2 pcs Roasted Chicken Wing Rice (S$5.90/S$7.90).

Lixin Teochew Fishball Noodle, with its Michelin Guide status, is renowned for its chewy fishballs. Slurp on Traditional Fishball Noodle (S$6.50), Handmade Meat Dumpling Soup (S$5 for 5 pieces), and Fishball Soup (S$4.80 for 5 pieces).

It’s hard to go wrong with a comforting plate of curry peng. Hill Street Hainanese Curry Rice offers enticing options like the Pork Chop Curry Rice (S$6.30) and Prawn Roll Curry Rice (S$6.30). To have a bit of everything, get the crowd-favourite Signature Curry Rice (S$8.90) that features luscious pork belly, pork chop, cabbage and egg.
