Here’s a pleasant surprise for those of you like me who have totally forgotten that the Assurance Package (AP) was a thing. In December, Singaporean citizens who will be 21 years old or above in 2026 will receive a cash payment ranging from S$100 to S$600, depending on their accessible income and properties owned.

For most Singapore citizens, no action is required to receive this cash payment as it will be directly credited into their bank accounts. However, the first to receive their cash payment will be those who have previously linked their NRIC to their PayNow account. These Singaporeans will receive their AP cash payment by 5 Dec.
If you do not have a PayNow-NRIC-linked bank account, make sure to contact your bank by 23 Nov to make the link, so that you can also receive your AP payment by 5 Dec.
If you do not have a PayNow-NRIC-linked bank account, but have previously provided your bank account details to the government, the AP cash payment will be transferred to your bank account by 16 Dec. Otherwise, you can provide your bank details to the government by 29 Nov through e-services found here.
For citizens who have neither a PayNow-NRIC-linked bank account nor provided the government with their bank details, the AP cash payment will be paid to them via GovCash on 22 Dec.
