It seems like every other day, some famous overseas restaurant or cafe opens an outlet in Singapore. Let’s add one more to the list. Renowned Hong Kong cafe Elephant Grounds will open in Guoco Midtown on 10 Jan 2026, making it their first outlet in Singapore!

Elephant Grounds was founded in 2013 by entrepreneurs Kevin Poon and Gerald Li as a humble coffee kiosk. They pride themselves on following their slogan ‘Coffee & Chill’ in everything that they serve. This includes the menu items, which reflect the ‘chill’ aspect with comforting and homely options.

Do note that we don’t have the prices just yet! We’ve contacted Elephant Grounds for their price list and will update this article when we have the information, so make sure to check back here frequently.

Elephant Ground’s house blend is sourced from Ijen Lestari, an award-winning East Javanese coffee bean producer. You’ll find that their EG Coffee and OG Espresso Blend balances bitterness with clarity. Like most coffee houses nowadays, Elephant Ground’s OG Blend will also be available for takeaway as whole beans, drip bags, and coffee capsules.

They also serve a variety of matcha drinks, teas, and even alcoholic beverages.

They also feature a few healthier options, like this Acai Yoghurt Bowl. It’s your classic acai affair, and I’m not referring to the chain. There are 2 types of berries, fresh banana slices, and a treasure trove of nutty goodness. Alternatively, go for their Mango Coconut Overnight Oats, with creamy Greek yoghurt and mango coulis.

What has really caught my attention is their Salmon Poke. It’s a bit like a salmon salad, with fresh slices of high-quality salmon mixed with cubes of avocado and a drizzle of soy sauce to finish. Fun fact: it’s called a ‘poke‘ because the word means ‘slice’ in Hawaiian, referencing how the dish is commonly prepared.

Elephant Grounds opens on 10 Jan 2026. Make sure to stop by for a relaxing time!
