Time goes very slow when you’re expecting a payout, right? This month, the S$1,000 Large Family LifeSG Credits (LFLC) arriving on 28 Apr are made even better with the unexpected release of ShopeePay LifeSG Credits.

From 28 Apr to 31 May, families that receive Child LifeSG Credits (CLC) or LFLC can unlock up to S$100 in vouchers by topping up at least S$100 into their ShopeePay wallet.

You can top up your ShopeePay wallet via PayNow, scan the QR code in the LifeSG app with your credits, and receive your vouchers within 3 working days.

When it comes to spending the credits, in-store benefits are where the programme feels especially practical. Users can enjoy up to S$70 in value, including a 20% discount capped at S$5 when using ShopeePay’s scan-and-pay feature.

With acceptance across more than 50,000 merchants, this extends to supermarkets like Sheng Siong and Mustafa, department stores such as OG, as well as hawker stalls across the island.

The vouchers cover larger basket sizes, offering S$25 off S$250 and S$40 off S$450, which can support bulk grocery runs or festive shopping. Meanwhile, on the online side, the remaining S$30 in potential savings is geared towards Shopee purchases.

These include S$5 off a minimum spend of S$60 and S$25 off a minimum spend of S$350, giving families a reason to plan slightly larger checkouts or to consolidate purchases they might otherwise spread out.

The vouchers go beyond niche categories or one-time use and support regular spending, from after-work groceries to monthly online orders. This means that recipients can maximise the value of their vouchers on daily essentials and recurring purchases, helping to ease the strain of rising costs.

Families already planning to use their LifeSG disbursement can take this timely chance to stretch their transactions further with minimal change, enjoying greater flexibility and convenience as they manage their household budgets.
