Get in on the action, and follow along as DJ and dance instructor MAKSIBS teaches you some groovy dance moves. You’ll find your toes tapping to the beat of AfroHouse, a snazzy blend of African drum beats and classic Chicago House music.

After sweating it out, you’ll want to stuff yourself with authentic African food. Savour dishes such as Chakchouka, a spiced poached egg dish; and Kadjenou, which is slow-cooked chicken in a terracotta pot.

Most days, she can be found cosying up to community cats and bribing them with treats. On rainy days you can find her curled up with a book in hand, catching up on Netflix or finding inspiration for her next poem.
