Kuala Lumpur is getting a taste of Korea’s viral affogato trend as AiFOKATO opens its first outlet in Malaysia at The Exchange TRX in early Oct 2026.

AiFOKATO TRX - Affogato

Known for its diamond-shaped gelato and customisable affogato format, AiFOKATO puts a little more choice into the dessert. Instead of ordering a fixed combination, diners can build their own cup by choosing a gelato flavour and hot pour to suit their preferences.

AiFOKATO TRX - Hot pours

There are 4 artisanal gelato flavours — vanilla, pistachio, matcha and chocolate, alongside 3 hot pours — espresso, matcha, and chocolate. That works out to 12 possible combinations, so there’s plenty of room to mix things up depending on whether you prefer something classic, rich, or a little more adventurous.

The real fun, however, happens when the hot pour meets the gelato. Each scoop is carefully shaped with geometric diamond-like facets, which gradually collapse as the warm pour flows over it.

AiFOKATO TRX - Frozen dirty latte

For those who prefer their coffee in a glacial glass, AiFOKATO will also introduce the unique −86 Frozen Dirty Latte to Malaysia.

AiFOKATO TRX - Coffee & milk

The drink combines an intensely chilled milk-based layer with freshly poured hot coffee, creating a noticeable contrast between the two temperatures before the layers slowly come together. It has been gaining attention across Asia and will now be available at AiFOKATO’s first Malaysian outlet.

The menu doesn’t stop at drinks and gelato either. Guests can also find Korea’s Butter Tteok, alongside a wider selection of coffee for a proper caffeine fix without the gelato.

AiFOKATO TRX - Ambience

Adding to the experience is the outlet itself, which draws inspiration from traditional Korean hanok architecture. The spacious interior offers a comfortable setting to sit down, catch up with friends, or simply take your time over coffee and dessert.

Keep an eye out for AiFOKATO’s opening in early Oct 2026 and be among the first to try its signature Korean-style affogato in Malaysia.
