If bakeries were given awards for having the most creative flavours, Brotherbird Bakehouse would take the gold. Their new May lineup consists of six gorgeous baked treats in an assortment of unique flavours.

Priced at S$32.50 per box, Brotherbird Bakehouse’s May bakes include their Earl Grey Milk Chocolate Croissant, Raspberry “Muah Chee” Twice-Baked Croissant, Rocher Croissant, Mentaiko Prawn Twice-Baked Croissant, BB Original Croissant and Taro Craqueline Brioche.

The Raspberry “Muah Chee” Twice-Baked Croissant is a unique take on the traditional dish, consisting of peanut butter, peanut crumble, mochi and raspberry. Meanwhile, the Mentaiko Prawn Twice-Baked Croissant offers a more savoury option, with mentaiko prawn filling, mozzarella cheese and ito garashi.

The Rocher Croissant has hazelnut filling, dark chocolate glaze and toasted almonds. The Earl Grey Milk Chocolate Croissant, on the other hand, comes filled with earl grey mousseline cream and is covered in a milk chocolate glaze.

The only non-croissant item in Brotherbird Bakehouse’s May lineup is the Taro Craqueline Brioche, a soft brioche bun topped with a crispy taro craqueline and filled with taro cream.

Brotherbird Bakehouse is certainly no stranger to coming up with unique and creative bakes. In previous months, they’ve launched croissants in flavours like carrot cake, chicken lasagne, s’mores, and tea-flavoured croissants in collaboration with CHICHA San Chen. I can’t wait to see what other interesting flavours they’ll come up with in the future.

Brotherbird Bakehouse’s May bake box will be available for pre-order on their website until the end of May. Each box is applicable for islandwide delivery at S$10, or can be self-collected at their two outlets at CT Hub 2 and 32 Bali Lane. Be sure to pre-order quick, before all their slots sell out!
