I don’t know about you, but I often get engrossed in television shows and find myself shouting at the screen, especially when I watch game shows. If you’re like me and want to experience that adrenaline rush in real life, check out BUZZATTACK. The television game experience lands in Singapore from 29 Sep 2026 to 1 Jan 2027 in Clarke Quay Central Mall, after having massively successful runs around the world, including in Madrid, Lille, London and Brisbane.

So what is BUZZATTACK? It’s an immersive game show experience. You’ll feel as though you’re a contestant on an actual gameshow, with the experience inspired by iconic TV shows such as Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. From trivia games to intuition and reflex challenges, BUZZATTACK tests your knowledge, speed, hearing and even your team spirit. There’ll be 5 main games with 4 express mini-games in between, so you’ll get to play 9 games in this exhilarating 60-minute experience.
BuzzSquad, for groups of 4 to 6 people costs S$27.90 per ticket. BuzzLeague, for groups of 7 to 9 people, costs S$25.90 per ticket. BuzzRoyale, for groups as large as 10 to 12 people, costs S$22.90 per ticket.

Be sure to arrive 15 minutes before your session. Upon arriving, you and your group will head to the tablets where you’ll enter your chosen display names. Additionally, the tablets list topics for the game show experience, ranging from video games to art to culture to food. Each player can select 4 topics of their choice to tailor the gameshow to their strengths. There’s a plethora of choices, so the experience is truly customisable. Choose wisely!

After selecting your topics, you and your team will be brought into the room. Find your display name on the screen of each coloured podium and get ready to compete. Designed with brightly coloured podiums and neon lights, the room further intensifies the feeling of being on a game show set.

There are 4 buzzers and 1 screen on each podium. Think of it as Kahoot! in real life, with each button corresponding to an answer shown on the big television screen above. The screen on your podium is also a touch screen, as some games require you to select your own topic or option. Once the lights dim, an introductory video will play, and then the first game will begin.

We started off with the Classic Quiz, comprising a mix of the topics we all chose in the beginning. If you get the correct answer, you get points, and your screen flashes green as well.

If you choose the incorrect answer, your screen will flash red and expose you (to my dismay). I really liked the tactile feeling of being able to hit the buzzers to choose your own answer; I felt like I was a player on some gameshow, which is exactly what BUZZATTACK wants its visitors to experience.

Between each round of the 5 main trivia games, there are also express mini-games. These lean more towards reflexes and memory games. For example, there was one called Simon Says, where the big television screen above plays a pattern of sounds with the 4 buzzers. After listening with a keen ear, you’ll have to remember and replicate the exact pattern on your own buzzer for the highest points.
Another notable express mini-game was the Highest Card, where 4 cards with different numbers were flipped over on the screen. To win the highest points, you would have to be the fastest to press your own buzzer for the corresponding highest- numbered card. Basically, it’s not all trivia here; there are other games to keep you on your toes and make sure you never let your guard down.

Now addressing the elephant (wheel) in the room, yes, there’s a humongous wheel in the room. You’ll get a chance to spin it once the charismatic AI quizmaster prompts you to. If you’re very lucky like me, you’ll get the ‘half points’ wedge, which deducts your points by half. Otherwise, you might be able to win double the points, raid points from your teammates, amongst other wedge options. Pro tip: exercise caution when spinning the wheel; if you’re too strong, the wheel might spin for what feels like eternity for you and your teammates.

Not every game in BUZZATTACK is for you to fuel the competitiveness in you. The last game, Read The Room, requires a collaborative mindset. In this game, you have to choose what you think the others in the room will also choose.
