Café Kitsuné introduces new ambassador, Barista Fox, launches seasonal menu with matcha desserts

The famous brand Café Kitsuné has introduced Barista Fox, a new character and mascot, as well as a seasonal menu containing 2 matcha-based desserts. According to the cafe, Barista Fox is an “iconic narrator” that explores cities, colours and shapes through seasons or collaborations.

Barista Fox is modelled after a waiter with a moustache, exuding an air of elegance. He has been named the ultimate ambassador for the art de vivre of the cafe, bringing Parisian culture to the brand’s outlets worldwide. You can find Barista Fox on the cafe merchandise, including sweatshirts, T-shirts, tote bags, baseball caps, ceramics and tumblers.

The art style of Barista Fox is similar to that of the famous French artists, Cocteau and Sempé.

Café Kitsuné is a world famous cafe by the French-Japanese brand, Maison Kitsuné. For those unfamiliar with this brand, it initially started out as a record label in 2002, before expanding into a lifestyle company that combines fashion and music, with strong influences from Paris and Tokyo.

The cafe has opened its first outlet in Singapore on 1 Dec 2022 within Capitol Singapore, where it serves pastries, cafe drinks and delectable baked goods. The outlet was the brand’s 22nd cafe in the world.

Aside from Barista Fox, the cafe will be launching a seasonal menu, consisting of the Matcha Strawberry Shortcake and the Matcha Coco Madeleine.

The permanent menu consists of all sorts of Instagram-worthy bakes and dishes to enjoy. Fill yourself up with mains like the Croque Monsieur (S$21), a brioche bun filled with turkey, cheese and béchamel sauce, or Burrata Cheese with Pesto and Sundried Tomato (S$28).

Soothe your sweet tooth with the Yuzu Lemon Tart (S$12), Passionfruit Chocolate Entremet (S$12) or Matcha Tiramisu (S$13), among others. There’s also a selection of drinks for your caffeine fix.
