Only last week were we preparing to say our goodbyes to 2021 and ending the previous year with a chock full of treats, now we’re back at it again to readily usher in the Year of the Tiger by celebrating CNY 2022. 

This year, we can have a reunion dinner of up to five per table, and if you, like many, are looking for dining spots to find the perfect place to do so, worry no more as I’ve curated a list of 13 places to have a perfectly planned dinner this year

1. Peach Garden 

Indulge in traditional Cantonese cuisine this Lunar New Year at none other than Peach Garden—a gastronomic destination that requires no introduction.

Widely known for serving the best yu sheng and pen cai in Singapore, change things up a little this year with the newly launched Make-a-Wish Yu Sheng (Small: S$168++ for five pax, Large: S$268++ for eight pax). The limited-edition Yu Sheng is essentially a visually appealing dish that will come with sumptuous ingredients such as salmon, abalone, lobster, and more. 

Only available for dine-in, usher in the Year of the Tiger this CNY 2022 with this colourful dish, and toss your way to a better year ahead, and have your wishes come true.

Looking for something else? Fret not as Peach Garden has also revealed a brand new Peach Garden Premium Bak Kut Teh Pen Cai (S$389.27 for six pax). The premium claypot will incorporate familiar flavours of bak kut teh, and comes with a medley of luxurious ingredients including golden abalone, sea cucumber, fish maw, conpoy, pork ribs, and many more that signify abundance and prosperity. 

If you’re looking for other family-friendly options, Peach Garden also offers the Golden Premium Traditional Pen Cai (S$340.26 for six pax) or a Traditional Roasted Crispy Duck ($80.04)

Looking to dine-in? Make your reservations from now till 15 February 2022. If you’re leaning more towards an intimate CNY feast at home this year, take-away and delivery is also available online. Additionally, from now till 31 December 2021, enjoy a 15% discount on all takeaway items, and from 1 to 10 January 2022, enjoy a 10% discount on takeaway à la carte items (except for Prosperity Packages).

2. Ellenborough Market Café 

If you’re looking to shake things up, why not head over to Ellenborough Market Café at Swissôtel Merchant Court? Although we’re advised to keep our social groups small this year, a reunion dinner of five seems like the perfect intimate gathering for Lunar New Year.

Over here, there are plenty of CNY-related dine-in options to choose from—be it a reunion dinner, buffet lunch or dinner, or high tea. If you’re looking to feast on crispy hydrangea noodles with seafood sauce or fu zhou braised pork short ribs in red yeast rice, why not opt for the À La Carte Buffet Reunion Dinner (S$108++ for adults, S$54++ for children) on 31 January 2022

Not your thing? You can also go for the CNY Buffet Lunch (S$78++ for adults, S$39++ for children) or CNY Dinner Specials (S$98++ for adults, S$49++ for children) from 15 January to 15 February 2022. Enjoy a yummy spread with braised duck with yam, freshly-roasted bak kwa with yuba salad, a red grouper with preserved vegetables, and many more, after tossing a colourful plate of prosperity yu sheng with salmon, yuzu, chia seeds, and speciality dressing. 

Feeling fancy? There’s also the CNY High Tea Buffet Specials (S$58++ for adults, S$29++ for children) happening from 15 January to 13 February 2022. Feast on mouth-watering assorted Chinese cookies, deep-fried chicken balls, char siew, roasted smoked duck, mini abalones with chilli crab kueh pie tee, and other tasty treats! 

Additionally, you can also choose to add on S$28++ for two hours of free-flow beer to wash down the delectable feast and end the festivities feeling chilled.

3. Seorae Korean Charcoal BBQ

5. PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road 

Be spoilt for choice this CNY 2022 when you head over to PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road, and celebrate the new year of the Tiger over an elaborate feast at Spice Brasserie or prosperity treats and set menus at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant.

Expect to find a smörgåsbord of festive feast featuring signature dishes like the Golden Creamy Pumpkin Butter Crab, Braised Pork Trotter, Nonya Fried Seabass, and many more.

7. Mouth Restaurant – 地茂馆

Known for their dim sum, Peking duck, and Singapore-style Chilli Crab since 1988, the humble Mouth Restaurant – 地茂馆 started their first Chinese restaurant in Chinatown serving customers with their legendary Liu Sha Bun.

Swatow Seafood Restaurant is another Teochew restaurant not to be missed. The colourful restaurant serves up a slew of authentic and yummy dishes. 

This CNY, catch up with your family and loved ones over their High Tea Buffet. I’ve heard that their homemade dim sums are to die for, what more is a combination of delicious dim sum and yummy seafood? Additionally, in reminiscent of their roots, founder, Mr Jimi Tan, also hired renowned chefs around the Asia Pacific region to bring you traditional and fresh dishes that’ll get you reminded of a homely meal in no time.

10. First Culinary Restaurant

Located in ITE College Central, First Culinary Restaurant has created quite the roar with their delicious dishes. Why not bring your loved ones here for a belly-filling Lunar New Year meal this year? 

For CNY 2022, expect to find your favourites on one of their Seven Set Menu ranging from S$59.80++ per pax to S$1,088++ for five pax available for dine-in, delivery or takeaway. If you haven’t heard, they’re famous for their Roasted Peking Duck, so that has to be on your list this year. Additionally, most of their sets will come with an Abalone Yusheng with other dishes such as the Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Seafood in Pineapple Broth, Deep-fried Red Grouper in Soy Sauce, Signature Roasted Suckling Pig, and many more!

11. Gim Tim

13. Empress
