Have you been battling the impacts of inflation over the past few months? If yes, here’s some good news for you: DBS is rolling out a cashback redemption scheme!

From Aug to Dec 2026, you will have multiple opportunities to earn cashback at hawker centres, heartland shops and supermarkets, with S$10 million in cashback rewards and more than 3 million redemptions available.

Wondering how to earn the cashback? Simply make payment with your DBS/POSB credit or debit card or DBS PayLah! app at one of the participating hawker stalls, heartland shops and supermarkets!

If you want to save more, consider visiting hawker stalls and heartland shops on Saturdays to receive up to S$3 cashback! As 50% of the payments made via PayLah! are for food and groceries from heartland shops and hawker stalls, this deal will help you save on the cost of your daily essentials and tackle the burden of rising costs.

Seniors and low-income individuals benefited from a similar scheme in 2025. Data shows that 36% of individuals who redeemed the cashback rewards were senior citizens and/or individuals with a monthly income of S$2,500 or less.

DBS is also expanding its support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through the Spark Gen AI programme, offering them guidance and greater access to artificial intelligence (AI). This would allow SMEs, the backbone of the economy, to transition to AI use and better cope with rising costs.

Combining the cashback redemptions and support for SMEs, both consumers and businesses will face reduced burden from inflation, with increased savings for consumers!

If you’re looking to benefit from this scheme, keep your eyes peeled in Jul, because DBS will release more details on how to redeem the cashbacks!

I can't cook, but I can eat and tell you if the food is good. I love almost everything that goes with coriander, spring onions or vinegar, but absolutely hate ginger and garlic.
