It’s chilli crab galore once National Day rolls around. Din Tai Fung is bringing back a fan-favourite with the Steamed Chilli Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao (S$7.50 for four pieces) this August 2020.

If you like a good soup dumpling and tangy spices, this sounds like the perfect combination for you.

In my humble opinion, Din Tai Fung makes some of the best xiao long baos in town. Their delicate dumpling wrappers consistently balance chewiness and thickness, pleated with the standard 18 folds. Call me basic, but you can’t deny that quality.

Of course, classic xiao long bao is not complete without the rich broth that flows out once you break its skin. The Din Tai Fung Steamed Chilli Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao promises no less, with the crab meat and pork filling in a spicy crab-based broth.

If you want to make a whole meal of xiao long bao, you can. Din Tai Fung also offers sweet versions of this delectable dim sum with yam and red bean fillings. They function just as well for dessert.

Try the Steamed Finely Mashed Red Bean Xiao Long Bao (S$6.30 for six pieces) or the Steamed Yam Xiao Long Bao (S$6.80 for six pieces) for a sweet contrast (prices might differ with outlets). Pair that with the Steamed Chilli Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao this month and you’ve got a full meal going for you. Just make sure not to share with anyone.

The Din Tai Fung Chilli Crab Xiao Long Bao will only be available until 31 August 2020, so grab it while you can.

Date & Time: Now available for dine-in and in-store takeaways at all Din Tai Fung outlets until 31 August 2020

Price: S$7.50 for four pieces (UOB cardmembers enjoy 10% off)
