I hope you love pancakes as much as I do, because you won’t want to miss out on this event at Clarke Quay!
As part of a globetrotting movement, Robin Vogelaar (Dutch Pancake Events) has once again returned to Singapore with Dutch Pancake Night. Head over to Gabbar Bistro & Bar on 11 January 2020 for a taste of authentic Dutch pancakes.
What started as a plan to gather close friends has turned into a global event where people are encouraged to assemble together to share their love for the much-adored Netherlands staple.
To date, he has organised more than 500 Dutch Pancake Events in more than 150 cities, including Tokyo, Rome, New York and Amsterdam. Interestingly enough, it brought strangers together and some even left as friends.
This was how he coined the slogan “Dutch pancake unites”—to promote inclusivity and empowerment and impart Dutch values and culture among individuals from different parts of the world. He even spoke about the movement at a TEDx talk!
Taking place on the grounds of Clarke Quay from 6pm – 9pm, you can savour the Dutch pancakes while mingling with fellow pancake lovers. Psst, stick around because there might even be an afterparty past 9pm.
And here’s the best part—all food and pancakes provided are free! All you have to bring along are an empty stomach and a positive attitude. (Pancake toppings and a friend are optional.)
Do take note that outside food and drinks are not allowed.
