Who knew egg sandwiches could get so popular? Well, Eggslut did, and it has just announced the opening of its newest outlet at Suntec City! No specific opening date or month has been mentioned, and we’re only told that it will open “later this year”— which leaves only two months on the clock.

Despite launching in the midst of the pandemic in September 2021, its first outlet at Scotts Square still drew long queues and quickly became a crowd favourite.

Eggslut hails from Los Angeles and is known for using cage-free eggs to make superior egg sandwiches with a multitude of toppings. When it first launched, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit last year as we tried a few of its egg sandwiches.

The Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich (S$12) is a combination of buttery brioche buns, crispy applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, chipotle ketchup and of course, an over-medium egg, and definitely hit the spot.

We also had the Gaucho Sandwich (S$27), which is certainly a must-try for first-timers at Eggslut, as it has thick slices of seared wagyu, chimichurri sauce, an over-medium egg, crunchy red onion and fresh arugula between buttery brioche buns.

The other sandwich options include Fairfax Sandwich (S$12), Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich (S$12), Egg Salad Sandwich (S$10.50) and Cheeseburger (S$13.50/S$17.50).

If sandwiches aren’t your thing, you can opt for the Slut (S$11), which is coddled egg topped with smooth house-made potato puree, sprinkled with grey salt and chives, and served with slices of baguette.

There’s also Truffle Hashbrowns (S$5.50) which are fried with duck fat and doused with truffle oil and rosemary salt.

Keep your eyes peeled on Eggslut’s socials for its launch!
