If you’ve always wanted to flaunt your riches, now you can do that by munching on a few gold-dusted durian balls!
Artisanal durian confectioner Golden Moment has recently released The Golden QQ (S$13.80/6 pieces, S$27.60/12 pieces), so you can really show that you’re high SES. They also offer handcrafted premium durian confectioneries, like gold-dusted Mao Shan Wang mooncakes, 24K gold durian ice cream, and more.
The Golden QQ came in a box shaped like a gold bar, exuding elegance and prosperity. It’s the perfect gift for your friends and family this Chinese New Year.
These chewy balls had bamboo charcoal skins dusted with a touch of 24K gold powder, similar to its signature mooncakes. With a sticky mochi-like texture, the balls also came with a rich and creamy durian puree inside.
Made from 100% pure Mao Shan Wang puree, it is almost like eating an actual durian.
I found these chewy durian balls extremely addictive, and it’s convenient too! It’s a lot less messy than eating durian from the seed.
If you’re around Bugis area, grab your box of The Golden QQ at Bugis Junction (until 3 February 2019). Or head over to Singapore Art Week (until 17 February 2019) for your fix of chewy durian balls.
Otherwise, The Golden QQ boxes are available at selected Caltex outlets, and on their website for delivery too.
Indulge in these decadent QQ balls after a night of feasting, or sneak a bite as a mid-day snack.
