With the success of Grab’s GrabKitchen first opening in January 2020, it has now opened a second outpost with GrabKitchen Aljunied. This second branch features 18 merchants, with a possibility of having more added in the future.

Just like the OG Hillview spot, consumers can choose to purchase and enjoy a mix-and-match order of their favourite food, although the Aljunied branch offers earthier tones and rattan furniture that might tempt you to stay longer than just for sustenance.

For the uninitiated, GrabKitchen plays on convenience in that consumers may order from multiple merchants with only one delivery fee. Imagine having your favourite PlayMade bubble tea with a small snack from Maki-San.

These are the current merchants located at GrabKitchen Aljunied:

  • Putien
  • Bonchon
  • Moon Rabbit
  • PlayMade
  • El Carbón
  • Wolf Burgers
  • CarversX
  • Maki-San
  • YAYOI
  • Beverly Hills Cheesecake
  • Spike Empire Durian
  • Eureka Popcorn
  • IRVINS Salted Egg
  • Drinkies
  • Letat Wines & Sake
  • Alcohol Delivery
  • W&S Liquor Store
  • The 1887 Bar

Yes, you read the list right—there’s even alcohol delivery! If you’re curious about why Aljunied was chosen as the second GrabKitchen home, it’s a strategic move to cater to the Geylang-Aljunied area, which had one of the highest rates of unmet demand among GrabFood users. Also, they found out via consumer surveys that the food types that were in high-demand were Japanese, Korean, Western, bubble tea, and oddly enough, fried chicken.

My only question is: do they deliver to Sengkang? Because I’d jump at the chance to have a feast, especially when I get to pick-and-mix from my favourite merchants, and with only one delivery fee.

Date & Time: GrabKitchen Aljunied is now open | 10am – 10.30pm (Daily)

Prices: Varies from merchant to merchant
