With the increasing reliance on food delivery today, the setting up of cloud kitchens is gaining popularity allowing more merchants to rent cooking spaces and equipment in proper food production facilities, serving their diners without having to withstand additional costs of renting restaurant spaces.

With approximately 50 cloud kitchens across five Southeast Asian countries, GrabFood already has plans to expand beyond one GrabKitchen in Singapore within the first half of 2020.

With GrabKitchen, merchant-partners will have a platform to introduce new food concepts and brands. Not only does GrabKitchen provide operation space, GrabFood also helps merchants in utility management within the facility and marketing support within the app, greatly reducing onset business challenges in which merchants face when they are setting up new outlets or starting up in the F&B business.

Singapore’s first GrabKitchen in Hillview brings 10 F&B brands to Northwest Singapore, bridging the gap between the high consumer demand and low merchant supply in the area. Besides the operational space, it also houses a dine-in area to accommodate a small lunch crowd.

Through this cloud kitchen, GrabFood hopes to provide consumers in surrounding Hillview districts food and drink options delivered on-demand to their door via the Grab app, offer a dine-in area on-location or allow diners to choose the self-pickup option to save on delivery fees.

With the expansion of GrabKitchen in the near future, it will definitely be to our benefit as we will get to enjoy more efficient on-demand delivery services. Not only that, with GrabFood providing support to their merchants, expect to witness the rise of several unconventional food concepts and new virtual restaurants in the market!

Dates & Times: GrabKitchen’s dining area opens 10am – 9pm (Daily)
