Healthy eating has been all the rage for the past few years, and one of the superfoods that many can’t get enough of is none other than one of the most popular grains in the world, oats. If you’re someone who is crazy about oats, you must check out the newly opened Granny’s Oat Shop.

Granny’s Oat Shop is located right in the Central Business District (CBD) within Republic Plaza in the Raffles Place vicinity. The special thing about this new eatery’s menu is that most of their dishes contain oats, even their drinks and savoury mains!

I am especially interested in Granny’s Oat Shop’s specialties, which include Mushroom & Truffle Ris-oat-to (S$8.90) and Oat-konomiyaki (S$10.90). I’ve never seen such unique oat-based dishes before!

If you’re craving a hearty sandwich, go for the variety of oatmeal loaf sandwiches, including variations like Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese (S$10.90), Chicken Mayo Sandwich (S$7.90) and Tuna Mayo Sandwich (S$5.90).

Other oat-based mains are the Spanish Style Sausage with Beans & Oat Stew (S$8.90), a tantalising red-coloured dish topped with hearty sausages, and the Sausage, Eggs, and Oat + Cauliflower Mash (S$8.90), if you’re a fan of breakfast platters.

Craving a lighter bite to takeaway? Check out Granny’s Oat Shop’s bakery section, with fresh bakes containing oats. The Multigrain Mini Roll Buns (S$3.90) are baked fresh hourly, with eat set consisting of 3 rolls. Why not go for a delicious muffin, such as the Oatmeal & Banana Walnut Muffin (S$3.90) or the Oatmeal & Citrus Mandarine Lemon Muffin (S$3.90)?

Pastry lovers can try the Kouign Amann with Oats & Almonds (S$4.90) or the Crustless Quiche (S$6.90).

You can also look forward to seasonal, limited special dishes. How about enjoying some Chicken Biry-oat-ni (S$9.90) if you’re looking for an Indian dish, or perhaps some Beef Bourguignon, Oat & Barley Stew (S$13.90) for a fancier feast?

The next time I’m looking for a wholesome place to dine at when I’m in the CBD, I’ll definitely pay Granny’s Oat Shop a visit.
