Those in Hougang rejoice! The food court at Blk 107 Hougang Avenue 1 has recently reopened, welcoming a host of hawker stalls with delicious offerings. With both halal and non-halal options, the food court is bound to have something for everyone.
Let’s take a peek at some of the stalls!
For the indecisive, the newly reopened food court will leave you spoilt for choice. It houses all the fan-favourites like young tau foo, bah kut teh, bak chor mee, char siew – siew yoke rice and many more. It’s almost like walking in a candy store.
The food court at Blk 107 Hougang Avenue 1 is now home to Koo Kee Yong Tau Foo Mee, a popular yong tau foo chain that can be found all over our little red dot. What’s so special about them, you may ask? No frills and serving up great noodles doused in their signature sauce, many of their outlets often have a solid queue even before lunch time begins.
Rong Cheng Rou Gu Cha, the supposed pioneers in Singapore’s bak ku teh scene to offer loin ribs have also set up a store here. BKT fans can look forward getting their bak kut teh fix right in their hood.

BCM fans this one’s for you — Tai Wah Pork Noodle has opened an outlet at the Blk 107 Hougang Avenue 1 food court, too. If you don’t know them, are you really a fan?
Tai Wah Pork Noodle has several outlets, and don’t confuse it with the OG Hill Street Tai Wah Pork Noodles at Crawford Lane that have held a Michelin Star since 2016. Who’s to say whether this store or that one is better, but at least you now have a great BCM store near you.
With so many great options at the newly reopened Blk 107 Hougang Avenue 1 food court, I guess our friends in Hougang will never go hungry.
