Fans of the How to Train Your Dragon series, it’s time to take flight! After being treated to a live-action remake of the first film earlier this year, you now get to experience a live concert in 2026.

How to Train Your Dragon in Concert is an immersive musical experience, where the franchise’s original animated movie is screened in high definition, accompanied by a live orchestra performing the accompanying soundtrack in real time. This one-night-only concert will be held n Singapore on 17 Jan 2026, at the Esplanade Concert Hall.

If you have ever watched or heard about ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, you would know that the series is known for its breathtaking visuals, moving story and iconic soundtrack. The first animated movie was released in 2010 and tells the story of an unlikely friendship between a Hiccup, Viking boy and a Night Fury dragon, Toothless. The film was widely well-received and went on to spawn an entire franchise with animated films, live-action remakes and theme park attractions.
How to Train Your Dragon in Concert will be based on the influential first film and is expected to be around 2 hours long. Listening to the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra playing the film’s score in front of you would definitely make it come alive in a new way.
Early Bird ticket sales for the concert started on 13 Nov and will run till 15 Dec. If you want slightly cheaper tickets, make use of the Early Bird pricings! The best seats, aptly named the Toothless and Hiccup seats, are originally priced at S$168 and S$148, respectively. But right now, they are going for S$153 and S$133.
You can book your tickets on SISTIC.
Meanwhile, I am going to be listening to ‘Test Drive’ on repeat.
