Perdana Botanical Gardens has long been one of Kuala Lumpur’s oldest and favourite spots for jogs, leisurely walks and weekend picnics. Now, visitors have one more reason to linger, with the arrival of Jaga Cafe, a new lakeside cafe tucked among the park’s lush greenery.
Located just a short stroll from the butterfly and bird parks, Jaga Cafe offers an escape from the usual city cafe buzz with leafy surroundings and calming lake views at Perdana Botanical Gardens.
It’s a place made for slowing down over coffee — perfect for cooling down after a morning run or taking a breather between exploring the gardens.
Drinks lean towards specialty coffee and matcha, with beans supplied by Curate Coffee Roasters. Regulars can order favourites like an Espresso (RM9), Flat White (RM13) or Cold Brew Black (RM15).
Meanwhile, those after something a little more special can opt for signature creations such as Coconut Pandan Matcha Cloud (RM20), Matcha Strawberry Latte (RM18) and Sparkling Citrus Coffee Soda (RM18). Other non-coffee options are houjicha, kombucha and loose-leaf teas.
Keeping things simple for munchies, the cafe serves freshly baked bagels with both savoury and sweet fillings. Choices include Signature Egg Mayo (RM15) and Spring Onion Cream Cheese (RM12), alongside sweeter options like Pandan Kaya & Butter (RM15), Nutella (RM16) and Lotus Biscoff (RM16).
If all you need is a quick snack, there are also buttery Croissants (RM8) and Pain Au Chocolat (RM10).
For anyone planning their next weekend walk or looking for a quieter cafe away from the usual crowds, Jaga Cafe is a welcome new addition to Perdana Botanical Gardens. After all, coffee somehow tastes even better when it’s paired with fresh air and a lakeside view.
