Yuhua Village Market has shaped up to be somewhat of a roast meat haven, with the Michelin-recommended Fei Fei Roasted Noodle and here, the humble K Lah.

Although K Lah doesn’t boast accolades like their renowned neighbour, you certainly shouldn’t underestimate them. According to their Google Maps profile, they’ve got more than 3 decades of experience in serving up Hong Kong-style roasted delights.

Moreover, netizens speak of the stall’s regular queue and how you’ll notice patrons at the surrounding tables tucking into bowls of their succulent roast meat dishes.

If you can catch them before the crowd arrives, you’ll see a tantalising display of their roast meats hanging behind the glass-fronted counter. Huge roasted ducks, char siew and sio bak call out to patrons as they go by.

Based on online buzz, their char siew seems to be a stand-out among the selection. It’s said to be caramelised well and lauded for its good meat-to-fat ratio. The crisp sio bak appears to be another crowd favourite. A 100g portion of these meats set you back just S$4!

K Lah’s menu is pretty standard yet extensive, with a plethora of wallet-friendly dishes. Believe it or not, a plate of Soya Chicken Rice costs just S$2, while its Noodle counterpart is priced at S$2.50.

They offer staples like Wonton Noodle (S$3)Char Siew Noodle/Rice (S$3) and Roast Duck Noodle/Rice (S$4), too. If you’d like the best of multiple worlds, they also have a range of combo sets that allow you to have a mix of 2 Delights (S$4.50) and All Delights (S$6) with your choice of noodles or rice.

Take this as your sign to hurry on down to Yuhua Village before their 2-month closure for a quality roast meat fix!
